Just ate here with my wife.
We showed up just as they opened. First time.
Food was excellent! Service was great (thanks Nick!) and very nice spot!
Started with onion soup. I had the bourbon bacon meatloaf and loved it. I’m usually disappointed with restaurants meatloaf but this was very good.
My wife had the shrimp salad special and she loved it. Nice looking plates.
Thank you, can’t wait to come back.

A nicely located Gastropub in Glastonbury. Wasn’t too busy on a Saturday night, but if it were, it is very approximate to some other great restaurants in the area. The menu was quite diverse, with many different cuisines being sampled. We tried the muscles to start, they were perfectly cooked with a pleasantly spicy peanut sauce. For my main, I had the Panang curry, it was very aromatic, with nice peanut flavors. A healthy dose of vegetables and chicken. The service was good, however, they cleared a couple of plates before we were done eating, it felt as if we were being rushed out. Otherwise, a pretty good restaurant, good spot to stop for some apps and a glass of wine.

The restaurant is very nice inside- the menu has a ton of options but the overall taste of the food was unseasoned, dry, and kinda dull. The charcuterie board was pretty much bread and a very small amount of meat. The canned artichokes were good and our service was great!

I went for the chili mostly, it should be mandatory for any restaurant serving chili has at least 3 to 4 hot sauce option, Franks Red Hot should be one of them. It was full of chunks of meat but no tomato sauce or paste so the ingredients were all in water, maybe slightly thick due to the tomatoes, not chili. I also had the corn fritters w/ a sirachi aioli dipping sauce, very good. There was a wide variety of food choices, i was just in the mood for chili.

This place has an average atmosphere that could work fine for a casual or simple date night. The service was relatively quick, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations. The burger patties lacked seasoning and came across very bland, and the Cubano sandwich wasn’t much better. While the presentation and vibe might appeal to some, it just wasn’t the right fit for us. Overall, not a place we’d return to, but others might find it more to their liking.

I have done maybe 5 reviews ever, but when a place goes above and beyond I have to point it out.
Bin hosted my wife’s birthday party last night and they crushed it! Totally impressed working with Leigha on all the details. When we walked in to setup, she was not there and my nerves kicked in a bit. BUT that didn’t last long! Like everyone this time of year, she got unexpectedly sidelined being sick, but her notes and detailed sheet got executed by Kelly, Nick, and the kitchen to an absolute tee!
They jumped in and with 15-20 minutes, caught a rhythm that not only lasted the entire party, but gave the vibe that we were in their home and they were truly hosting us! I know that they usually don’t go family style for a party of our size, but they did it with perfection. Clear communication with the kitchen, delicious food, and fast drinks added to the smoothness of the night.
Kelly made it a point to get the kid’s table fed first and several parents commented on how good she was with them. Dietary restrictions were handled without on site without and she even got a few picky eater kids to dig in. Again, another detail pointed out by parents. Phenomenal job! 10 of 10 all the way around.

Clearly, this place is an outstanding modern American eatery that masterfully combines creativity with culinary excellence. From the moment we stepped onto the inviting outdoor patio and into the tranquil, contemporary interior, it was clear we were in for a special evening.
The menu at Bin 228 is remarkably comprehensive, catering to an array of palates with its extensive selection of drinks, appetizers, and main dishes. The drink options deserve particular accolades—whether your preference lies with wine, beer, cocktails, or mocktails, Bin 228 offers a remarkable variety. The mocktails impressed us in particular, presenting a creative, flavorful alternative that rivals their alcoholic counterparts in both taste and aesthetic appeal.
Appetizers were both innovative and satisfying, perfectly setting the stage for the main courses. These dishes continued to impress with their variety, exquisite presentation, and deep, rich flavors.
It’s important to note that Bin 228 falls on the higher end of the price spectrum, but in return we got an exceptional, inventive culinary experience that highlights the quality and creativity of contemporary American cuisine.

We took our dog to the vet in Glastonbury and wanted to find a dog friendly place for lunch. This place showed up in Google map. I called ahead and the host, whom I believe is the owner, said they not only welcome dog, they love them. We were obviously seated at the outdoor patio with our dog. The owner came and welcomed us and our Labradoodle. I ordered the seafood chowder. It was freshly made and creamy. The sweet potato fries are also delicious. Will definitely visit again when we are in the Glastonbury in the future.

First time here for me. Seems like a fun place. Interesting menu with decent prices. I got the tater tots poutine but as a Canadian, it was a disappointment. There was no gravy, basically tater tots with melted cheese. The fish and chips were bland even with malt vinegar. From appetizer it was a long 30 minutes before our entrees came. Our server Leah was entertaining and apologized for the long wait. Other food was rated good. I’d come again for happy hour.
