This was, our party of 6 unanimously agreed, one of the best meals we’ve ever enjoyed. We arrived on Tuesday night, Jet lagged after a long journey from the states. We’d taken a walk to find a restaurant, when it began to rain, and so we stepped inside. We were warmly welcomed after our 3 year old, who asked for “french fries and ketchup,” was told they indeed had fries, and would make her ketchup. They accommodated our large party with no reservation, navigated our english with ease, and were so friendly and kind. We had the most delicious dynamite shrimp to share. 2 of our party had the lamb, 2 the turbot, and 1 the most incredible steak that melted in your mouth like butter. Each dish was even better than the last. Even the baby ate almost an entire steak with her fries. We shared a bottle of wine and many desserts. Highly recommend and we would absolutely return. What a perfect start to our stay in France and thank you for being so accommodating!

Excellent food! Excellent service! We didn’t have reservations, so we ate outside, which was very nice, but I can’t comment on the atmosphere inside. The appetizer and 2 entrees that we had were very delicious with unique sauces and excellent presentations. The wait staff was very nice, spoke English and helped with good suggestions. I would highly recommend this restaurant; what a great find.

Amazing flavors. Wow. I had the cauliflower puree Amazing. And then the Bao buns. Wow. Never had that flavor in anything. And then the fish. Wow. So many flavors so good. And then with it the mashed potatoes smoked so amazing. Made me smile and laugh. They were that good. When you laugh eating. You know you’re having something special.

We had an amazingly delicious and inventive dinner! The ambiance, warm and friendly service and the visit from the chef (Xavier Pincemin) himself was truly special. Bravo! We had the bao, aubergine, agneau, poulpe, and boeuf tiger, as well as the champagne.

In advance of this dinner my wife and I enjoyed some delicious meals in Bayeux and elsewhere. We are not solely meat eaters and upon seeing the “meat-centric” menu upon arrival at Lafayette we were perhaps a bit apprehensive (we are from the US and sometimes “steak” restaurants are a bit overrated and over hyped). I can say, however, that both of our meals were pleasantly OUTSTANDING! I enjoyed the Tiger and she the Lamb. Both were incredibly flavorful. Additionally the Lemon Haze dessert was incredible! So, overall, a memorable evening with top notch food and impeccable service. Would definitely recommend.

I visited with my sister without a reservation and we were seated outside it was nice. The food is so so delicious and the chef was very hands on checking on costumers. We had a very nice dinner and we still dream about that mashed potatoes and boa!!

We went to this restaurant following the nice comments on Google. In a general way the food, meet, desserts and wine are correct.
However, The pricing is a bit expensive for the real experience, the room is kind of full we can heard the conversation of next table because there are too close, wrongly decorated, the lighting is wrong and cold for a restaurant that pretending to be ” chic and expensive” you almost eating in the red and dark “Ámsterdam” light. It can be much better,a pity.
The service is a bit too fast, you have the feeling you have to finish quickly because the next service starts., so the waiters are a bit rude and pushing.
So, I won’t come back to this place even if the food is OK.
