I’ve been coming here for years every time we visit Long Beach—it’s always been a favorite tradition of ours. Unfortunately, the spark is gone. There is nothing worse than paying for a premium coffee and getting a side of “why are you here?” energy.
The vibe has shifted from a cozy, welcoming local spot to a standoffish dive bar atmosphere. The current baristas are not friendly, avoid eye contact, and act as though you are inconveniencing them just by ordering. We even visited on two different days to see if it was just a one-off bad shift, but nope—this just seems to be the service level now.
It’s a real bummer to see a long-standing tradition lose its charm. Absolutely delicious coffee and the service is just as good! Went to the one right down the street first and their espresso machine was broken and didn’t have the best attitudes either. Glad it worked out how it did! Will definitely be going back while we’re here!

My interaction with the lovely lady today at asserting 1025 am was so wholesome. She was delighted and so kind. She provided my dog a few snacks which he thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered the Mexican Mocha and it was am that I expected it to be!

What a great place for coffee and a quick breakfast!!! The customer service was excellent with great recommendations and friendliness. I can highly recommend the breakfast sandwich, it was amazing! I also ordered a iced mocha with oat milk and got dark chocolate… it was excellent as well! Can’t wait to return!

I love to support local and small businesses.
It was about 7a-ish on Saturday and we were heading out of Long Beach to Portland.
The owner was working and she was very pleasant. I wanted something that I don’t usually get as far as a coffee goes and I ordered the snickerdoodle, small size.
It was very tasty and tasted like a snickerdoodle, which happens to be one of my top three favorite cookies of all time ❤️
It was a nice way to start the day!

Spent a couple days in Long Beach and had coffee here both days. This morning I got a couple breakfast sandwiches as well. Great, strong coffee, hot sandwiches, and very nice baristas! Definitely the go to next trip!

It can be a little intimidating finding a good cup of coffee when you’re away from home, but we really made such a great choice stoping here. We got the hazelnut turtle and fluffy bunny and they were amazing. The barista was so sweet and overall just a great experience. Can’t wait for our next vacation and our next coffee.
