I cannot say enough positive about this place – This is a completely unsolicited, unpaid review, I never had their food or any interactions with them previous to today.

I ordered online – 1 order of steamed dumplings, 1 large egg drop soup, and 1 large hot n sour soup. Said it would be ready by 1130AM, since they don’t open ’til 11AM.

I got there at 11AM, early, and called. Let them know what car I was in, and that I was early. They had my food out in 15-20 minutes, brought it to my car across the street, and I got the most incredibly delicious food I have tasted in this area for Chinese food, PERIOD, hands down… Plus, tons of sauces, a fork/spoon/napkin combo wrapped in the little plastic… The steamed dumplings were to DIE FOR – OMG. The soups… Just as amazing.

I am so impressed… I have a feeling I’ll be here a couple times a week, going forward. Super sweet people, wonderful food… Can’t ask for better.

Atmosphere great, service excellent, food phenomenal. This place never disappoints and has to be my favorite Chinese place in the Tri-cities. It’s also the only authentic Chinese restaurant in the area and the owners are so nice. Highly recommend the General Tso’s chicken and the Crab Rangoon’s.

This was the worst Chinese I have ever tasted. Food was bland. Ordered chicken and broccoli and asked for my broccoli to be cooked tender and it was hard. Spring rolls looked like they had pork in them. I will not be going back yo this restaurant.

Seriously some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in East Tennessee. Delicious! The owners are delightful and so kind. We will return!

This is an amazing family-owned gem in Bristol’s historic downtown area. We dined outdoors on the covered patio, right along State St. Some highlights of our meal include: the best hot and sour soup I have had anywhere; shatteringly crisp *homemade* spring rolls (the peppery beef one is especially delicious); locally sourced roast duck; pan-fried shrimp and water chestnuts; and a chow mei fun strewn with fluffy egg and vegetables. Everything was delicious, and we can’t wait to return!

Always great food and service, the best Chinese food in the area, i am surprised they r not more busier on Saturday night, the restaurant does close at 3 pm but reopens for dinner at night. Never disappoints and the owners r the best. Very friendly and welcoming. State street is where they r and there is parking next to the building. This is their beef and scallop with sizzling rice and szechaun beef with fried rice. U got to try the fried doughnuts and pupu platter too.

Really good. The food was fresh and flavorful. Looks like a small family place and limited staff so service was a bit slow but well worth it. Very good food.

The only issue was the area. I don’t know what’s happened to Bristol, but the people downtown are unfriendly.

Ordered take out. Ask for noodles and a spicy chicken dish so was suggested Szechuan chicken. Got home no noodles and dishes were tasteless. Cost over $30. So disappointing.

I went to this restaurant a few hours ago and I definitely will not be back. I ordered the Japanese Udon Noodle Soup and as I was eating, I noticed a little dead bug in the soup. I then looked closer at what I thought was pepper or seasoning and every single black speck had legs. There were tens of tiny bugs in my meal.

Edit: After receiving a reply from the owner, I will add a few things for clarity. After noticing the bugs and bringing them to the attention of the staff, they offered only to take that single dish off our bill. We told them that we did not feel that we should have to pay for any of it, and thankfully they did not give us a hard time. We immediately left the restaurant and no one from our party of four ate any more of their meals after I found bugs in mine. More than half of each meal was left on the table. I also find it incredibly odd, and I am honestly quite offended, that it has been said that the kitchen staff didn’t find anything strange about the dish. I will not waste any more time on this, but I do not think that this is acceptable.

We read about Shanghai Restaurant in a Southern Living article, and it was every bit as good–or even better–than described. The sevice was superior, the food was soooooo delicious and plentiful. We will be back next time we are in Bristol.
