We recently moved to the antelope valley and were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place! The pizza’s pretty darn good, (we’ve not had good luck with any of the desserts or sides) but the pizza’s pretty consistently fresh and tasty. Since finding this place, in August, we’ve gone almost every week and after trying multiple items we just stick with the pizza because that’s what they’re good at. So, tonight I ordered through their website, mind you, there is nowhere on the menu that says they have barbecue sauce but because they have a bbq chicken pizza on the menu I assumed they had barbecue sauce as an option. I place the order and put in the notes a request for bbq sauce instead of marinara, if possible, and submitted the order. Almost immediately I received an email stating my order was processed but because I had a special request they charged me an additional fee of $4.45! So, I called to ask what that charge was since my only request was bbq sauce and I couldn’t imagine that was what the cost was for! Only to be told that that’s what they charge to substitute barbecue sauce for marinara! I said well cancel it and just use the marinara, I’m not paying four and a half dollars for barbecue sauce, that’s just ridiculous! I was told sorry it’s already in the oven! I didn’t want to make a stink so I hung up, but I was irritated. Anyway, when I went to pick up the pizza my plan was to speak to the owner, however, he wasn’t there, I took the pizza and left, but when we opened the box it was literally swimming in barbecue sauce! Now I don’t know about you folks but we were expecting a normal amount of sauce on the pizza! Now my frustration level increased and again, I’m stewing on the fact that they charged me $4.45 when the barbecue chicken pizza literally costs the same as all the other specialty pizzas!!! I don’t understand how they can justify that fee unless they think they’re making up for it by drowning your pizza in sauce!! The crust was soggy and wet and you couldn’t taste anything except the sauce….. they used sooooo much Just an all around frustrating situation and after this experience we won’t be going back, so I hope you guys enjoy that $4.45 and that it was worth losing customers over!
PS…. I wouldn’t have been upset had there been somewhere on the menu that said there was an extra fee for subbing BBQ sauce or if they had called to give me a heads up before starting the order. We frequently sub BBQ sauce for marinara and out of all of the different pizza places we’ve tried there has NEVER been a charge for that, so while I think it’s wild there’s even a charge for it I really can’t believe that they’re charging $4.45
Parking is not an issue. Delicious food
They deliver an it’s quite a fast delivery so that’s always a plus.
The chicken fettuccine Alfredo is also pretty amazingly delicious. The garlic bread is a must. 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.
