The interior is a little dated, but maybe the look they are going for?
Improvements. Thinner cut steak that’s wider. That way the flavor is more even with each bite. With the salad bar, do more of a spring salad mix, which shouldn’t raise the cost much. The plastic cups, feel cheap, maybe good for kids? But with the price paid, a nice glass cup would feel more worth it. The knife felt really cheap, thin, and not very sharp. All the plates by the salad bar made me wonder how long they had been there, and how much dust/dirt could float onto them. So I would tuck those away. Was also craving fresh baked bread. With low volume though, that may cost to much but would bring a nice warm smell to the restaurant.
Staff was extremely friendly
The salad bar was wonderful. I miss going to restaurants with salad bars. Everything looked fresh, and it all tasted good.
Blooming onion was extremely sweet. I am used to a normal onion being used for a blooming onion, not a sweet one. The breading was really good and not excessive.
Steak fries could use some salt.
The ribeye was one of the best cuts of meat I have ever had in a restaurant. Sadly, to make a steak delicious, not only do you need a good cut of meat, but you also need a good seasoning. All I could taste in the seasoning department was seasoned salt. For me, just seasoned salt that is not evenly coated is not remotely enough.
For $50, the portion to price ratio is above expectations, but the price to quality is drastically below.
The restaurant is marketed and priced like a steakhouse, but the atmosphere does not match. The décor feels more like a family diner, and the cooking setup in the middle of the dining room gives off Hibachi-style vibes even though it is not Hibachi. The man at the grill, who appeared to be the owner, spent much of the time loudly barking orders at the staff in a way that came across as distasteful. The servers seemed intimidated by him and overly apologetic, which was uncomfortable to watch.
Both times I visited, I came alone and ordered a steak. Each time I waited over an hour. On this visit, my steak was mistakenly delivered to another table. I overheard the owner instruct the server to retrieve it. Thankfully, someone had already touched the plate so they did not try to bring it back to me. No one informed me that a new steak would be started from scratch, although I could see and hear everything because of the open setup.
While waiting, I ate the included salad. After sitting for so long I told my server I did not have time to wait any longer and asked to only be charged for the salad. The bill was seventeen dollars for the salad alone. The server, who seemed to understand my frustration, gave me the impression that this was not the first time she had been in this situation.
The overall experience was frustrating, the atmosphere did not feel polished, and the service did not match the price point. My steak alone would have been about forty dollars, and nothing about the environment, the food, or the management made it feel worth it.
No wonder it’s always empty besides being way overpriced.
Definitely not what you expect from a high Priced Steakhouse..
Cooked perfectly
Came out fast
Price was more then fair for a steakhouse
Only 2 complaints, no vinegarett dressings at the salad bar and no Dr Pepper, Mr Pib.
I will be back
Edit: Second visit (I came back)
They have Italian dressing
They serve Killians
6/5 stars
I will be back
