By a happy coincidence Happy Hour runs from 3-5pm, and we entered at 2:50pm. It was a no-brainer to wait to order until the Street Taco Special kicked in: 3 chicken or steak for $9 vs their normal price($16.95 and $19.95 respectively.) What can I tell you, they were good. Really tasty, with fresh ingredients rounded out by the red and verde typical salsas, and an unusual pineapple habanero.
With 7 of us we were a larger size family group and were about to move around some tables to sit together on the side patio since we don’t see each other much and want to take advantage of the family togetherness on a beach vacation. When our food trays were brought outside we were invited to move to the rear section, a garden-style patio with picnic tables for the attached brewery that was not yet open for business. It was the ideal setting, and very nice of the staff to suggest that.
For the kids, this was an early dinner, and for the adults it was a very late lunch. I will definitely remember these half-priced happy hour tacos the next time I’m in Bethany.

Outdoor/indoor seating with dog accessibility for outside area. Scan at code to order and food and drinks are brought to you. The proportions of the food is a large amount and just the way I like it. The food was delicious and the staff were nice. Located right on the boardwalk and offer alcoholic drinks. Restaurants with drinks are l limited on this beach.

The food is okay the queso and guac were very good, the tacos were okay, but the meat on the tacos such as the steak or chicken was very dry. However, the staff at Baja were amazing they messed up on our order and admitted the were wrong fixed it and apologized which really shows that they care about their customers.

We’ve been eating at Baja every summer since 2020. We often go multiple times a week. Today they ripped us off and said “it’s a beach town.” My kids usually get chicken finger meals (see the size comparison pic). Today my daughter wanted the Kraft Mac and cheese meal. Now we get any time you get Kraft mac at a restaurant you’re overpaying. But what she got was a side serving equivalent tiny cup. 180 calories of Mac and cheese. I went back to the counter because surely they were writing this off as a meal. But yes, yes they were. The woman’s response was “this is a beach town.” I get that. But then call it a side. Not a kid’s meal. We had to go get additional food for our daughter. Irritated by the rip-off. Annoyed by the verbal write-off.

Unfortunately this is what I received for $20. Chips and a few beans. I now understand that ordering online is not straight forward but why would anyone in their right mind want to pay that amount for a few chips and a couple beans? A simple call or courtesy “are you sure this is all you want” would have saved my family from having to stop elsewhere to actually eat dinner after a long 3 hour drive. Won’t be returning!

Absolutely love this place! The food is awesome and the frozen margaritas are amazing!! The prices are great and well worth it! Second year visiting on vacation at Bethany Beach.

Was looking for some yummy Mexican food and found this place! I got a steak burrito and it was delicious. It was 18 dollars which is a little pricey but overall good experience. I ate outside and it was a very nice place to enjoy my meal. Very good service too and food came out quick. Would definitely recommend 🙂
