Been here a few times and staff are consistently friendly and the food good! This time we ordered: sweet potato fries, wings, caesar salad and garlic bread. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous.
Especially appreciated having the choice of kale or romaine lettuce for the salad. Found the prices to be very reasonable as well.

Though I’m not, my partner is a vegan so it’s nice when we get to find a spot that serves delicious food that we can both eat. Rise is probably the only vegan pizza I feel meets quality and flavour that I’m happy to eat without meat. Their styles are amazing and unique with their Asian style pizza being our favourite. Their dipping sauce is also excellent and you can’t go wrong with their amazing cauliflower wings as a starter. It’s a cool vibe to sit in or just take away; you’ll enjoy it either way. Highly recommend!

TL;DR: The seitan wings are life changing.
I was visiting Hamilton for about seven weeks in February and March, and during that time, I must have ordered the wings at least 20 times (I’m limited to 8 pictures but I have 12 from that period; many others were eaten before I remembered to snap a picture).
They’re crispy, crunchy, chewy, and sticky, all in the best possible ways. I would almost liken them to a General Tao’s chicken in terms of texture.
The sauces are great. My top recommendations would be:
* Classic BBQ. A bright red BBQ sauce with a little heat.
* A combination (as in mixed together, not a split order) of classic BBQ and maple garlic. A perfect balance of heat and sweetness.
* Sriracha lime. This is what I found to be the most classic wing sauce.
Unless you really like heat, I’d stay away from the ghost pepper buffalo and Nashville hot.
In addition to the wings, the rest of the menu is also great. All three of the pasta dishes are fantastic, and they come in generous portions.
The pizza is also really good. The Seitan Worshippers was my personal favourite, but I also really enjoyed the classic pepperoni, Killer Pineapples from Outer Space, and bacon triple cheeseburger.
Finally, the staff is great. To Alistair, Kieran, Brendan, and Alison: thank you all for the great service. You’re running a fantastic restaurant, and your food frequently brought me comfort during what was otherwise a difficult period in my life. You’ll definitely be seeing me again (though probably not three times per week!).

Cool retro pizza and wing place. Loved the dough and the garlic dip our pizza was ok. If they put pepperoni instead of mushrooms would have been PERFECT!! I also think they should put the names of the pizza on the display so we can choose ahead of time especially during busy times like art crawl

This is my favourite restaurant in Hamilton, hands down. We live over an hour away and come here as often as we can! I’ve brought non-vegan friends here on many occasions who have loved it, too. Service is awesome and food is so tasty. 10/10

We ordered recently through Uber Eats. I’m not sure if it was an Uber problem or restaurant problem, the food came almost cold, not even warm. Despite the temperature, we did enjoy the Steeltown pizza, especially the crust. Unfortunately the deep fried pickles and the Seitan wings were slightly overcooked.

First off, I’ll mention that there’s a lot of faux meat here, so if that’s your name, you’re in luck. I think most are but I found I had to customize a cheese pizza because they didn’t have one with just veggies.
The service was the worst service I’ve ever received. After we sat down, our server didn’t return so we tried to order at the front because we thought maybe that’s what we were supposed to do. Turns out, he just didn’t want to come by.
After our food was ready, he brought it out and then we didn’t see him again until we tried to track him down for containers for leftovers. Then he never brought us the bill and we waited forever so I paid at the front.
I’ve never tipped someone 0% but had to here because of how horrid the service was.
The food was decent. Not as great as I remember it pre-covid, but still decent.
The atmosphere was ok. A little hot in there though.
All in all, it was an ok experience, but our expectations were much higher.

I live out of town but once in a while I make the trip here because their pizza is soo good for vegan pizza- it’s quite unique and flavours are really good! But today, I ordered the creamy garlic and pesto pizza but there wasn’t any pesto- it was quite dry. Super bummed, I remember it being really decadent. It’s still good it’s just not pesto as a pesto pizza should be. The pepperoni is solid though and they give complimentary sauce which is so nice, thank you! Still a solid place and atmosphere, just the pesto pizza was a bummer. Thanks again 🙂

I was desperately looking for a place to grab a quick slice before heading to Toronto on the go train! My first time at Rise & Above and the staff treated me so warmly and kindly. I’m not one to get gourmet pizza but THIS SLICE! Oh my. I couldn’t tell you the name of the slice it had meat and triple cheeses and sesame seeds I think on the crust? It was divine so good. And only $6! Love love love. I’ll be back

I’ve been wanting to go here for awhile now and finally did. The food was amazing. Had the pineapple pizza and parm twists. BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD! Crust was light and didn’t droop like every other pizza place. Did not skimp on the amount of toppings. The parm twists were a big surprise….light and loaded with flavour. Our server was so nice and chill. From the time ordered to arrival at the table the food delivery was quick. Loved the local art hanging on the walls. Will definitely go back. Highly recommend.
