Update:
I was very happy to see Good News’s name was kept. Whenever we are hiking within 15/20 minutes of this place, we have to stop and eat here.
This trip we ordered the cauliflower brussels sprouts and we all ordered burgers.
The brussels sprouts and cauliflower were so good. I wish I ordered more. The burger was OK. I’m not sure it felt like it was missing something. But it was still good. The staff were super friendly, super knowledgeable and helpful. And I like the ambience they have now they changed up the building a little bit.
The host and server were both friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic. They gave us the right amount of attention. Not too much, but they came by often enough that we never had to wait.
The wine, beer, cocktail, and mocktail lists were all extensive, filled with interesting, high-quality selections. If we had been drinking more, there would have been many more things we would have liked to have ordered.
We ordered the Pear Martini, which was elegant, balanced, flavourful, and vibrant. And the Strawbery 75, which was also delicious.
The food was delicious! We ordered the Tuna Tartare appetizer, the Seared Nantucket Sea Scallops, the LOTS OF LOBSTER “ADULT” BAKED MACARONI THE ORIGINAL, and the Creme Brulee Cheesecake.
The cheesecake, and the scallop risotto were both just fine. But the real standouts were the Lobster Mac, and the Tuna Tartare. Both of those were AMAZING!
We’ll definitely plan to return!
