The lady literally threw the food in our table. Very disrespectful, her face screams that she doesn’t like her job. The cashier was nice, she greeted us when we came to place an order. I love this place but after experiencing this twice, i will never step in this café again.

Café Florentine is clean, efficient, and offers excellent food. These attributes make this venue a great “third place” for a person to hang out and maybe do a little work, or for friends to get together over lunch, dinner, just desserts, and/or coffee. Or enjoy their hot chocolate.
That said, the materials of construction (mostly tiles) and the aloof staff make the atmosphere feel a bit “cool.” The staff IS nice and kind, they’re just quiet and tend to stick to themselves. Unless they’re delivering something its rare to see them in front of the counter.
The pastries and desserts are prominently featured, and for good reason; they are superb. They’re superb in a way that only old-school tradition can create. This is a vintage Utica business that has a deep, multi-generational, brand and the goodies to prove it.
I’ve never had a bad meal there. Today’s was excellent; presented nicely and so flavorful.
I go there about weekly for hot chocolate with friends. And about monthly for lunch.
The convenient location and ample parking make it easy to return over and over. But, of course, it is the excellent food that I always rave about.

Great tasting bake goods, not overly sweet. Just right. Staff was so friendly and helpful. I really appreciated them as I was traveling. Glad I found Cafe Florentine. The one thing I would change is tbe seating. It doesn’t go with their delicious offerings. It needs to be less hard and cold. Have more comfy seating. Make the atmosphere more warm and cozy!

So food takes forever even coffee take 20 min b day there with your friends get a cake and coffee one got hot food and crapes took over an hour…. The atmosphere is what you make it … my friends love to laugh so we went outside and had a blast 🙂 usually you sit there like in a library best explained…. Kitchen is very plain like food truck id say…. But cakes and sweets which i believe are made in their bakery elsewhere… those are very delicious… overall not a bad coffee place to go to if you just want a break!!!

Great atmosphere. Good dessert. I had the pistachio and raspberry cake and it was so light and delicious, but the Nutella latte is the best. I also tried the cannoli and the tiramisu. Yummy.
