Anetta has been fabulous and gave us good recommendations to the tapas choices. She has great knowleage of wine and champagne and we very much enjoyed her explanation to food. Very much a foodie couple, we are convinced that this has become our favourite restaurant and we will come back again and again.
All dishes we ordered were nice. Can’t fault any of them.

3 of us had lunch at Comptoir+Cuisine. It was delightful and Anetta was an excellent waitress. We enjoyed delicious drinks and wonderful cheese and tapas and puddings. A wonderful little spit with great ambience.

My girlfriend and I came here last Saturday, March 28th, with very high expectations as the reviews were good and we were really looking forward to it.
On arriving we were a little taken aback by the appearance of the restaurant, thinking this looks more like a cafe than a restaurant. But being a little quirky, although very lackluster, we thought it’s probably amazing food and good portions!!
At first the waitress was very polite and her hospitality was very good. We chose 3 of the nibbles options avoiding bread, as we had explained to the waitress that we were going to have the charcuterie board, thinking we better save some room!! The nibbles were OK, but did not come in even numbers for sharing, always odd numbers. We then proceeded to the charcuterie board. When it came out the waiter started to give us a tutorial of what all the items were. Under my breath I said ‘where’s the rest or the other one’ lol! The bread was tiny, about 6 very small slices, and about as thin as a ten pence piece. Not a baguette as advertised on the menu. The cheese slices were the half the size of a carrot stick, the cream cheese was a teaspoonful and there was only enough meat for one. Overall the size was an average plate for one person, even though this was meant to be a sharing board!!! We asked for some more bread and got maybe 2 to 3 slices at a time. We had, in almost 5 minutes, consumed the lot.
We asked for some more of the cream cheese, as this was nice, but a teaspoonful between 2 was just ridiculous! They brought out another teaspoonful and charged us nearly £6 for the pleasure – the charcuterie board was £36. The waitress who was helpful at first could see we were not happy and completely avoided us after that. We complained to the waiter in the end and explained that the size portions are incredibly small and barely a meal for 1. He then proceeded to get the manager, who definitely did not seem like a manager – she just stared at us, didn’t apologise, just kept saying we could have had more bread but other than offering us a glass of wine there was no offer of making things right or apologising. We said we didn’t want another glass of wine as, to be honest, we didn’t want to spend any more time in the cafe-like ‘restaurant’.
The staff were very rude after this and only took the service charge off the bill, which we would have asked to be removed anyway due to the treatment we received. We were, at this point disgusted.
As we paid the waitress (who was once nice) she completely ignored us and when we said we were very disappointed, she proceeded to say ‘oh well, you’ve already talked to the manager about this’ and then blatantly ignored my girlfriend, interrupting her mid-sentence.
If we had bought 2 boards that would have been nearly £80 for a meal… I don’t think I have ever paid this much.
Don’t get me wrong, the food tasted nice, but just such small portions and we left hungry.
I eat out alot and I can actually say this is the most disappointed I think I have ever been in a restaurant. I have had poor quality food, which the staff at the time dealt with well and made right when I said something, and I certainly have never come out of a restaurant having paid nearly £100 feeling hungry!
An hour later my girlfriend and I shared a pizza from Franco Manca which was delicious and we would definitely recommend them!
**Avoid like the plague** in my opinion. We definitely will not be returning.

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back. Quirky interiors and relaxed atmosphere.

The food was excellent, well presented and full of personality.

I particularly liked the onglet and the bread was fabulous. Little touches like seasoning the butter are so clever.

The cheese board was fantastic and catered for our requirements.

You simply just eat here if you are in Bath.

If you want a quirky restaurant, great, simple food, this is for you. We were sat at the back of restaurant and that felt a bit odd. But it made sense as our visit went on. The food was very good, baked camembert was exceptional. And the two members of staff delivered simple efficenct service very well.

My friend and I absolutely loved this restaurant!

The vibe is nice, the food is great, the staff are amazing.

I like the idea of sharing small plates, because this way you can taste many different things and not limit yourself to just one or two dishes.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the waiter, either Juan or Jorge, a very common Spanish name; if you’re reading this review, I’m really sorry, I should’ve written a review straight away

Anyway, this place is highly recommended for dinner – you won’t be disappointed!
