Used to visit Sea Isle City as a kid and came back for a week with my family. Rita’s has always been nostalgic but alas there isn’t one near me so I was happy to find one so close.

We’ve been twice in our week long stay so far and I’m sure have one or two visits left.

The owner is incredibly nice and accommodating. When I find a Rita’s I always hope for the cookies n cream flavor but have yet to have any luck with it on the menu. My husband mentioned it to the owner as it wasn’t on the flavor list the first day but said if we told him when we could come back next he’d have it for us. Well… the next day we were back and I had my cookies n cream Gelati!

So if you want great service and a frozen treat on a hot (or not so hot) day. Visit this Rita’s.

The taste of summer! This location has mint custard, which was a great way to cool down. Also really liked the ocean flavor – something like watermelon, vanilla, and tropical fruit, with shark gummies and mermaid sprinkles.

There are many many places to get good water ice , ice cream and custard especially at the shore. Sadly for us the better places in sea isle had very long lines so we relented and went to Rita’s. There was o let one employee working by herself and it was all she could do to keep up. And we knew that Rita’s only features certain flavors. I ordered traditional lemon and my partner the root beer with a dollop of vanilla custard. Both of us were beyond disappointed. The water ice tasted like mildly flavored water. We could tell by the super pale color of all of their iced that this was not “ high quality” water ice. The vanilla custard was also beyond bland and had a weird consistency.
I know that Rita’s is a privately owned chain but seriously they really need to step up the quality.

One employee working on a busy night in the summer time. Only 3 people in front of us and we stood in line for 20 minutes. Terrible service. Don’t recommend.
