The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and served hot and fresh. The tandoori chicken and grilled items were especially amazing. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked.
Service was top-notch — friendly, quick, and professional. The staff made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout. The atmosphere was elegant and peaceful — a great place to enjoy a relaxing evening meal.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic, high-quality food with great service!
We tried a variety of dishes, many of which were very good. That said, I do think the menu could benefit from being more focused. There are just too many options, and I’d love to see them narrow it down to highlight more authentic, well-executed Indian dishes.
Some of the fusion items sounded exciting but didn’t quite land. The truffle naan, for example, sounded great on paper but barely had any truffle flavor. The papaya salad was also underwhelming—it was more like raw veggie sticks with soy vinegar on the side, which felt a bit out of place. And the mixed seafood platter was another miss, especially with honey mustard on the side… honey mustard with Indian food (?) just didn’t make sense to me.
That said, I do see potential here. The kitchen clearly has talent, and with a more curated, authentic menu, I think Mahal could really shine. I hope they keep refining because the space and concept have a lot of promise.
As the host, the staff were very attentive to our needs, timed all the food perfectly, and were extremely warm with our guests. I want to thank the chef, the owner, and Mr. Singh, the event coordinator for their effort in making this party a success.
The food itself was excellent — I especially loved the naan and the vegetable subzis. There were plenty of veg options, and they were kind enough to accommodate a few non-veg items without any additional cost. That kind of flexibility really stood out.
Another plus: they allowed us to bring our own liquor, which made things easier and more affordable. The staff was courteous, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Service was solid from start to finish.
If I had to point out a downside, it would be the parking situation. The restaurant is located on a narrow road where parking isn’t allowed, so you’ll likely have to park behind the fence. That said, there’s usually enough space there if you don’t mind the extra step.
All in all, highly recommended — great food, great service, and a good vibe for hosting events. Would definitely go back.
Edit: They calculated more people than what they told us. We registered this later and regret not going over the names of the people present. We overspent by around $400. Please be careful here!
For the main course, we ordered the Mutton Rogan Josh, made with tender baby goat. Every piece was succulent, rich, and full of flavor.
What truly elevated the experience was the personal touch—the restaurant owner himself came to our table to check on us. He was genuinely warm and welcoming, which made the evening even more special. Our hostess Amrita was also very delightful to talk to.
If you’re in town, this place is an absolute must-visit. As a lovely bonus, we were served a complimentary dessert to celebrate my mom and dad’s anniversary, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
Highly recommended!
