Came here to celebrate my father’s birthday. Great food and excellent service. I highly recommend the lomo saltado, beef empanadas, veggie ceviche, and of course the pollo asado. Parking may be a little difficult but it is worth it. Also try the yucca fries!

This place was absolutely deserving 5 stars. Stopped in before a concert in Oakland. The staff were friendly attentive the minute we walked in the door. The waitress gave good recommendations. We tried a variety of stuff, first time trying their food so we went a bit overboard but so worth it. Staff were paying attention to all tables as soon as a plate was done, empty it was removed. Great atmosphere.

Several tables are wobbly so even after moving it was still a problem.
They have Spotify running with adds. Anywhere with a $50 steak on the menu this feels unacceptable. Totally ruined the vibe.
Ordered the rib eye medium rare came out well and extremely greasy.
Didn’t love their chimichurri.
Redeemable food was the rotisserie chicken and the “roasted” (actually deep fried but cooked well with yummy sauce) cauliflower and Brussels.
There are plenty of other mid end restaurants in Oakland to go to before this one (Lucuma, parche) and many other lower end with better food.
It’s a shame because I feel like this place is really close to being good, just the few things that were wrong are so wrong they totally ruined my experience.

Mid. Decent. Restaurants really need to elevate. We waste so much food in this country can we at least cook with good technique. Chefs and restaurant owners need to travel and try other restaurants. I don’t know if this is just what passes in CA / Bay Area or it comes down to the restaurant making money. Restaurant goers also need to know what’s good. We have just a handful of restaurants worth it at this price point. Lomo was salty and over cooked. Ribs were dry. Paella soggy. Steak was pretty good. But presentation might as well still have us in the 90s. Overall decent but this isn’t a 90s chain restaurants.

My family went a few days ago for my dad’s birthday and we’re still talking about the food. The seafood was fresh, the ceviche was addicting , the steak was huge, the rice was amazing and the drinks were really good!! The service was also amazing. We asked for recommendations and they didn’t disappoint obviously. We were checked on multiple times by different staff through the dinner. They even were able to sing happy birthday to my dad and had a sparkler!
We’ve already recommended this place to others!

Love this place! I usually call ahead and pla e my To-go order for my family and I. My we really enjoy the chicharron de pollo with its criolla sauce that its comes with, you can’t go wrong with this dish!

Awesome location with a great selection and top notch quality. The Dorado en salsa de mariscos had the best scallops I’ve eaten along with a beautiful piece of mahi mahi and a beautiful prawn. The La podersoa with chicken got a great review and everyone left happy. Definitely worth a drop in.
