I’ve been searching for the perfect pizza in the Bay Area for some time, but this might possibly be it. The crust is delicious and thin, the toppings were real and abundant, and it just tasted like heaven from beginning to end. Other than pizza; they also have pasta and other sides for non-pizza lovers. My favorite pizza was the basic cheese but the pepperoni was to die for!
The area is nice, clean, safe. Parking is easy to come by. There’s plenty to do. Just a great spot overall. They serve beer and wine as well!
I’ve had every pizza on the menu, and they are all good. The plain tomato pie is really tasty and so is anything with classic toppings like pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, etc. I love a white clam pie, and while it’s pretty good here, sadly, it’s no substitute for the real thing.
Atmosphere is nice. I prefer to sit at the counter by the oven and watch the magic happen. Staff is always friendly.
My only complaint is that they only serve one size, and it’s small, which detracts from the overall pizza experience. Each slice is like a miniature sample, 3-4 bites, NEXT!
Overall, the food was tasty and creative. We ordered shrimp and grits, crispy cauliflower, and 3 pizzas.
I loved the shrimp and grits. Super crispy polenta with a flavorful creamy Chipotle sauce. Crispy cauliflower was very well prepared with a light batter that was unbelievably crispy, like fresh McDonald chicken nuggets (in the best way). Not the biggest fan of the vinegarette sauce, but enjoyed it nonetheless. The pizzas were good, but not addictive. The flavors were generally light, but the salt for the white pies was heavy (I drank 3 cups of water). The crust was thin, light, flaky, crispy, with a nice medium chew. The issue was that the pizza was served with a nice helping of charcoal underneath. And for this reason I can’t recommend this place.
The service at Pazzo Pizza was efficient and friendly. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations based on our preferences. They were also attentive to our needs, ensuring that our drinks were refilled promptly and that our food arrived hot and fresh.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and laid-back, with a modern and minimalist decor. The seating arrangements were comfortable, and the noise level was just right, allowing for easy conversation without being too loud.
While we enjoyed the food and the service, we did find the prices at Pazzo Pizza to be slightly higher than average for a pizza restaurant. However, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth the extra cost.
In summary, Pazzo Pizza is a decent restaurant that serves up delicious pizza in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. While the prices may be slightly higher than other pizza restaurants, the quality of the food and the excellent service make it a worthwhile dining experience.
Side note, the ceasar wasn’t all that great the meatballs were awesome. Excellent starter dish.
