“A burger worth eating”

After a day of hiking and exploring the Oregon coast, this was a great little restaurant/bar to end the day. We shared the hummus appetizer and tried the Marionberry BBQ burger, the Forager Burger, clam chowder, a Caesar salad, the spicy chicken sandwich. As the title says, it was all worth eating.

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, the beer selection was excellent, and the restaurant ambiance was warm and welcoming. If you’re visiting the area, it’s definitely worth swinging by and giving Homegrown Public House a try.

The restaurant had a very down to earth, comfortable feel. Every person I interacted with was professional, friendly, quick and thoughtful, and only left me happy and satisfied. I should have grabbed the names of the staff, they were excellent. I was a patty of one, but I accidentally came in during a mild rush. Not only was my service excellent, I could clearly see it was excellent for the other guests as well.

Knowledgeable about the food they served, and overall exactly what I was looking for.

I’d recommend as a “solid” to anyone.

Service and atmosphere where great! Food was pretty good, but we got some fried oysters that were not very fresh and the salmon was very dry. Burger and fries were perfect. Perfect crunch Salads are fantastic!

Good selection of drinks on tap and bottle available.

Looks like a good local hang out and we probably caught them on an off night. Will try this place again!

Cute little restaurant, seats about 30 people that includes the bar area. Waitress was very friendly. We called ahead and reserved a table since we were coming from out of town. Great beer selection on tap. Menu had a variety of food, with lots of seafood and Oregon touches. We ordered the club sandwich with fries and fish and chips. Had an older gentleman that was playing music which was a nice touch. Food came out fast and was delicious. Highly recommend and will be going back again for date night.

Split decision on this one. The beer selection is a great representation of coast breweries. The starter cajun fried oysters were perfect and had a really tasty kind of relish that added just the right amount of kick. The fried shrimp poboy however was just average. Not a generous portion of shrimp and very little flavor. No sauce that I could discern. The fries were good pub fries. Some of the burgers delivered to tables around me looked amazing. I’ll try again another time. Service was great.

Nice ambience in downtown Florence. The Forager burger was fantastic. The garlic fries are great! They have a variety of crafted beer. They also have gluten free options. I highly recommend it!

We were on our way to newport and wanted to grab lunch in Florence. This place seems like a local favorite and the food was really good! We had chicken and fish sandwiches both of them cooked to perfection and the warmth of the hosts made our lunch an awesome one.

This a local brewery so there is lot of chatter of people enjoying their drinks. We didn’t mind much.

4 top, arrived at noon on a Tues. All the managers must have been off because one girl was serving and hosting. Tho she wasn’t doing much of either as we were the only table and she disappeared in the back for 45 mins. Apparently a Togo order was more important than the group of people freezing in the restaurant. Why was it so cold in there?? Half our table got their food (which was clearly sitting in the heat window for 15+ mins.. cold hard fries, luke warm burgers) while the other half waited on their “clam chowder”. It should be called potato milk soup because that’s all it is. We didn’t touch it and had it removed from our bill. That person didn’t get to eat at all because the girl doing to-go orders never came and checked on our table. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich blackened. It had a dash of blackened seasoning and the spicy aioli was not spicy. Maybe it was Cholula and mayonase? But definitely false advertising. Seriously improvements need to be made if they want return business from the locals.

Definitely worth trying…
I’ve passed this place going to work several times, thinking I’d like to try it. So, I finally made the stop. Very cool atmosphere. They had a musician playing in the corner by the entryway. The bar was full of people. As I was being seated by one of the friendly staff members, I noticed they carried one of my favorite Hefeweizens. Sunriver Brewery’s Fuzztail Hef. Yummy. I ordered the Forager Buger with garlic fries. The burger was excellent. It had a healthy-sized patty with generous toppings of lettuce, mushrooms, and onions. The smoked gouda cheese brought the flavor together. The fries were exceptionally delicious. I love garlic fries, but I love them more when they have extra toppings like these. I also got their ranch for the fries. Very good, not like many restaurants that just have a generic dressing.
I will be visiting this establishment again soon.

I managed to make it two weeks. The Forager Buger has been calling my name. I just had to have it, along with the garlic French fries. So good. I also tried the Oregon Mushroom Flatbread. I was excellent! The gouda and mushrooms were perfect on the warm flatbread.

Cute little place slightly off the main drag of old town. The outdoor seating is perfect on a sunny day. Excellent selection of beers and very high quality food. We split a fantastic salad plus fish and chips with grilled fish. That is such a treat. Rarely can you get nice grilled fish instead of the deep fried version. Look forward to returning the next time we’re in town.
