Due to some last minute changes due to COVID my husband and I went with Drunk Alpaca for our wedding cake and favors. The Hard Apple Cider Pretzels are amazing. So many of my guests loved them and wanted more, highly recommend getting them for any large gathering, or to have for yourself! I already have been given orders to bring some home next time I travel back to upstate NY. The Malted Pretzel mix and chips were also great to have out during our cocktail hour and also received rave reviewed.
We did not have time to do a cake testing but when my husband and I first tasted the cake we were floored with how good it was. We got a vanilla IPA cake with white/vanilla frosting and it was amazing!! the cake was moist and held up well all night. The parts that didn’t get eaten are now sitting in our freezer. the team also did a great job with decorating the cake with just the pictures and description I provided since we were not able to meet in person.
Finally, since I really love pie and wanted wedding by the team did a great apple pie for me to have that night as well. It was similarly amazing and I was not sad about having a piece of pie and cake that night! I will definitely be going back to try ALL of their pies!
Amazing local business and love the innovative use of beer in the cakes. Really gives a unique and amazing flavor!

We have had the best experience with The Drunk Alpaca. We regularly purchase their chips, nuts & pretzels to serve at our business. They are so good and the quality is top notch. Our customers can’t get enough. They have great customer service, easy invoicing, and delivery; highly recommend.

First I have to say that I am a Executive Chef in NYC. I recently moved to Shelton and walked with my daughter and happen to see this place open. It was an amazing experience, the beautiful woman behind the counter told us the story behind the business, spoke about the beers they use and was really genuine and not trying to over sell us. I bought a blueberry pie and my daughter bought cookies and I have to say that it blew my mind on how good it tasted. When it comes to baking and cooking I am a perfectionist because it’s what I love and I can honestly say that you are able to taste the care and love that they place within their baking. Highly recommend them…

Thank you Drunk Alpaca for having gluten friendly pies. My daughter in law picked up our pies today and forgot to get the second order. The owner called me and I was unable to go pick it up. The owner insisted on delivering my pie to me in Newtown. I was so very thankful and feel they went above and beyond. I am always searching for good gluten friendly baked goods and Pie has been missing from my life unless I decide to go for it and then I just eat the inside missing the flakey buttery crust. I couldn’t wait until Thanksgiving and boy I am happy I didn’t. The gluten friendly Apple Crumb is delicious. Thank you so much for bringing pie back into my life.

I ordered individual pies from The Drunk Alpaca for my recent vow renewal event, and they were a huge hit! Reasonably priced for what you got, and all three flavors I selected were delicious. They even coordinated delivery – highly recommended!

We found this vendor at the Home and Garden Show last weekend. Yes, there was confusion about the name and how it would have conveyed it being a bake shop. I purchased a 4PK of “Vegan” Oatmeal Raisin cookies. I didn’t need them to be vegan, but I wanted Oatmeal Raisin. They were amazing! So So So yummy!! I would defiantly try more items from the bakery.

It was my first time in the store. I just ate the best peppermint brownie ever. I was shown around the store and learned about several distilleries that I dud not know CT had. Most of the baked good are beer infused and there is a huge variety of cookies, brownies, pies, snacks and more. They bake right there. Very cute friendly store.

Picked up a salted caramel apple pie for the family and my son was excited when he saw it after school. I heated it up in the oven after dinner and served slices with ice cream……….it was ok.
Nothing special. I was expecting a more flavorful pie from a place voted one of the best in Connecticut.???
