1st visit in a long time. Decided to try when it would not be a smoke-filled room. Lucked out and no one smoking today. Had the Rueben and chips. Sandwich was good but could be a little hotter and bread a little more toasty. My fault, we should have requested this upfront. all in all, good visit and Jay at the bar took great care of us.

The dude running the bar here was super cool. That said, it is not a place for grub. We heard the microwave go off a few times. If you’ve had some drinks and need something to chow on, then go ahead – that’s what it’s for. $9.50 for a microwaved sandwich, so if you’re up for that, cool. For an Irish establishment, there was not very much the Irish feel, but then, this is Galveston, TX, so also, if you’re up for that, cool. Still, the guy was awesome and he was friendly enough for me to say I would drink there again after having a lot of drinks at home because at that point I would not care where I was or how expensive the microwaved sandwich was.

O’Malley’s was fun! I was here in the earlier part of the evening for happy hour. Got me a local Tiki Wheat Draft Beer and a cold shot of Fireball They allow smoking inside, lots of pool tables, tvs, and a cozy bar! I enjoyed listening to the music and listening to some of the other patrons talk! I’ll def have to come back and experience the night life for sure! The bartender was super cool and very knowledgeable in beers and alcohol! I didnt order any food, but it looks like they serve some emergency grub for late night fun!

Absolutely love this place. We live in Seabrook but when we come to Galveston we stay the night or weekend & come here every night. We we’re here about a month ago with our daughter & boyfriend. They loved it. It’s a nice neighborhood bar. Love the lady bartender. She’s a hoot!

I went to grab a sandwich to go. The older lady behind the bar was extremely rude. I simply asked “may i place a togo order for a sandwich” she replied yes and stares at me. I go on and ask for a menu. She hands it to me and the menus are newer, so i make sure they have the sandwich i typically order. I asked for the turkey melt with no bacon (I don’t eat pork it’s against my religion). She replies “no it comes with the sandwich you can’t take it off”. I’ve order this and many more sandwiches from this place and they have done this many times for me and others. I didn’t appreciate the attitude that was given and the way she went about this and it’s not her first time being this way towards me. Never ask for much anytime I go. Simply a beer and sandwich but this will be the last time i order from this place. Definitely needs to work on her attitude either way dealing with customers.

This is the oldest bar still operating in downtown Galveston. They opened in 1986. Tiffany took great care of us. It’s definitely a locals hang out. We stopped in on a late Saturday afternoon and everyone who walked in after us seemed to know each other. They were all very welcoming to us though. Prices are great. 4 drinks was $17 before tip (don’t forget to tip your bartenders!). The decor is really fun. Witty sayings and fun dive bar stuff that makes it unique. They have a small room off the regular bar area with a jukebox, tables and dartboards. Highly recommend if you want a fun Irish experience with decorative flare. Will return.

Friendly staff and a wide selection of beers you love along with new things to try. Also they offer certain liquors on clearance so I’d recommend trying out their different styles if you’re feeling adventurous!

Great local dive bar. Smoking is permitted inside so do not complain about. Drink specials every day with Karaoke on Thursdays. Prices are nearly half that of beach front places. Pool table available. Bartenders provide excellent service. Minimal food options.
