I would give Burke’s bar and grill 4 star for their service alone. They have a very good bloody Mary that the bartender makes. They had a pretty small menu but I’m sure someone could find something that they liked. They offer chicken strips and many other things that are on a bar menu.

This is a great Iowa bar with great food. They have daily specials for both lunch and dinner. Today, I opted for the hot beef sandwich on the menu. It was served with mashed potatoes and covered in beef gravy. The portion covered the plate. The flavor was good. The only drawback was that it was not hot, just barely warm, so that’s why the food was given 3 stars today. A friend’s taco looked delicious and she was quite pleased. The service was outstanding. I will go back and I do recommend.

The food smelled great before we even got in the door. There steak special on Saturday nights is super good my steak was tender, flavorful, and and cooked just the way I ordered it. The cook came out and asked if everything was cooked to our liking/order. I will definitely be back I got a picture of my steak but not before I have started to polish it off half.

We ordered delivery from door dash and Burke’s bar & grill really did a awesome job. Well packed and nothing missing. My friend had chicken, gizzards and cheese balls (curds to some lol) sorry I forgot to take picture. I had chef salad and cheese bread. Omg so delishish fresh and yummy.. I did manage to get a gizzard from my friend and I was very pleased.. they r hard to find and we were excited to see them on menu.

Great service, they let me chill on my laptop, kept the beer coming and didn’t bother me at all. Shh, I even hit my vape with no issues. Lunch time came and went and everyone seemed to know each other, almost felt a Cheers (80’s primetime t.v. series about a bar starring ted danza and woody harrelson and kristi alley) type vibe there. Food was great, fries were crispy and not floppy and sloppy…the burger was cooked just right with no mystery sauce. I will definitely return to this venue in future Mason City visits. I like that they are right next door to Northside Liquor and Vape shop, which makes the convenience super close and easy. The bartender, Morgan was super helpful and easy to talk to. Not bad for Mason City, I’ve been to “other places” (pun intended) where the service was bare minimum and atmosphere was dry and dark.
