We tried this Vietnamese sandwich shop for the first time today and absolutely loved it. My husband had the shredded chicken sandwich and I had the honey roasted pork both were delicious. You can really taste how fresh all the ingredients are, and the bread was phenomenal.
It’s family owned and everyone was so friendly. The staff took the time to explain all the options, which we really appreciated. They’re also known for their different coffees and drinks, which we’re definitely trying next time. Highly recommend!

Tried this place after playing tennis across the street at Mills Field and it did not disappoint! The most AUTHENTIC banh mi I have ever had from ANYwhere. The combination of pork, pâté, cilantro, jalapeño pepper, and other ingredients make the sandwich this perfect balance of sweet, savory, spicy, and tangy with the cucumber and carrots rounding it all out with a wonderful FRESH and refreshing flavor. Most other sandwich shops, I feel like the bread is an afterthought, just a vehicle to transport the other flavors, here, the bread is definitely a Main Character- baked fresh everyday, crisp and flaky on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside-it’s PERfect. Pair the A1 (traditional) sandwich with a delicious Vietnamese iced coffee and thank me later. You’re welcome. My photos don’t do the food any justice. Just go try it for yourself.

One of the best Banh Mi I have ever had. A wonderful addition to the area.
Got to try three sandwiches. The standout star was the roasted pork belly. Crispy skin, as you would expect, and soft delicious pork belly. Bread is made fresh in house every morning and is a beautiful balance of crunch and softness. Fresh vegetables and excellent sauces. The grilled pork and meatball were also fantastic.
Floor could use a better sweep and windows out front should be cleaned to present itself a bit better.
I hope these guys stay for the long term as I will be a weekly customer.

Great banh mi sandwich! I don’t know much about Vietnamese food but the owners, Kit and Katelyn, were so kind and welcoming and took the time to explain the differences between each sandwich and what kind of ingredients go into each. I got the Roast Pork sandwich and my wife got the Traditional. The meat in the roast pork sandwich was perfectly seasoned and tender, and I loved the tangy, sweet, and spicy sauce in it as well. Will definitely be stopping by again to try other flavors! The bread was amazing, by the way- the owners said they bake it fresh every morning.

Today is its soft opening. Obviously, it takes some more time to complete.
Parking is easy. Staff is friendly.
I tried roasted pork and coffee for total $15.50. Bánh mì definitely taste good with their house sauce. Roasted pork was still crispy. The size is a bit small. Overall, it was well done. Coffee was not the best but still decent.

Finally, an authentic bánh mì spot in St. John’s! Bami offers six options, but most were already sold out by the time we arrived around 5 pm. So we ordered two #1s to go. The baguette was lightly toasted and the bánh mì was generously filled with pâté and Vietnamese ham and sliced pork. And I loved the balance of fresh cilantro and pickled vegetables. Since they didn’t have fresh Thai chili, the owner kindly added garlic chili oil for us—a thoughtful and delicious touch.

Stopped by Bami The Viet Corner in Fruit Cove, FL and really enjoyed the banh mi sandwich–the crispy roast pork belly was the star, and the spot itself was clean and inviting. The Vietnamese coffee was solid, service could be warmer, but the food won me over and I’ll definitely be back for another banh mi.

Bami offers delicious Vietnamese sandwiches with perfectly balanced flavors. The bread is crispy on the outside yet soft inside, and the fillings are fresh and just right—not too salty or overwhelming. Friendly service and great value. A must-try! 5 stars!
