I ended up getting the herb pesto chicken sandwich but not as a sandwich, just the chicken with a side. Very delicious! The hubby got the club sandwich with potato salad and said it was really good also. We had the fried green tomatoes as our appetizer and the remoulade sauce was a great compliment to them. There was only one waitress working when we went for a lunch on a Friday but she was very attentive and nice. Overall, definitely a step up from your typical meat and three restaurant, so we would definitely go back!

We sought out a lunch location on a rainy day when camping at Fall Creek Falls. This was amazing! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The pot roast was delicious. She explained when I ordered that it was Mississippi style but it tasted like I make it. The fried okra was even better than the pot roast. The Mac & cheese was so good that my son wished he had just ordered that. If we are in the area again, or anywhere close, we will seek it out. Only regret, we didn’t have room for dessert.

This little home style restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The grilled pork chops were juicy and perfectly seasoned, the steak was tender, and the fried catfish had a perfectly crisp, golden coating. The sides were just as memorable, each one tasted fresh and made with care. The portions were generous, the prices more than fair, and the service made me feel like family. If you’re looking for comfort food done right without breaking the bank, this place is a must-try!

We stopped in for lunch today (Saturday). This place is the best food in Pikeville ! My husband had the catfish and broccoli rice casserole. He said it was the best catfish he has ever had. I had the grilled chicken pesto sandwich which was amazing. We will definitely be back.

We intended to go somewhere else on just a little day trip, scenic drive and excursion and ended up here accidentally. From the first interaction with the first person on staff, it became a very enjoyable experience. We spoke with the owner as well as the chef in detail. Everyone was professional and friendly.
My wife had the meatloaf, squash casserole, and fried okra, and I had the pot roast, whipped mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and we added some sweet potato casserole to share.
Out of the seven things that we ordered and ate, we assumed that at least one or two of those would be subpar, but everything that we put in our mouths was really good, seasoned perfectly and was served hot in ample portions.
It was comfort food with a twist and a little elevated, and the prices were very fair and in step with other prices for a similar restaurant experiences.
We had a great experience and we will be back to try other things on the menu that peak our interest.

Had the catfish platter and the fried pickles for a side, food was excellent, service was exceptional. You have to turn off the main drag onto main street to find the restaurant but well worth the minor detour from US 127
