Mariscos El Rey is a quintessential seaside, seafood haven.
Tucked away down a side street just before you hang a right towards the Malecon.
Lots of outdoor seating and some indoor seating. We visited in August and in spite of the heat and humidity we opted to not outside, al fresco.
Service was great. Lots of suggestions were offered and ultimately we chose the Tostada Mista & Pescado Frito.
A trio of sauces came out, mayonnaise included.
The Tostada is piled high with very fresh mixed seafood. Delicious! Splashing a little hot sauce made it even better!
The whole fried fish was amazing! Really crunchy and cute into stripes before being fried so that you can pull a nice long chunk of golden fried fish off and make a perfect little taco. A side of incredible fried potatoes! YUM a little slaw rounds out the plate.
BYOB some bring some beers! We didn’t ask about a corkage fee but regardless, it would be worth it.
We’ll be back to try everything off the menu as I can confidently say Mariscos El Rey is the King of Seafood!

It is a very unique place with fresh seafood. There are many levels to this restaurant. You can catch a view on the upper floors. Service is excellent and attentive. The seafood was very fresh. If you haven’t been here before, definitely give it a try. Excellent.

Can’t say enough about how good this food is. So much flavor, taste, and freshness. We ordered 3 shrimp tacos, 3 fish tacos, a shrimp and octopus cocktail, dozen oysters and mixed tostada and two cucumber-pineapple drinks. The prices were so affordable. About $50 usd for all of that. Highly recommend this place.

The place is small indoor and huge outdoor seating area. The place is run by a family. The food was great. The mix bowl was good. You can add the different sauces that they have to make it spicy or sweet. The fish and shrimp taco were great. I will visit them just for the tacos alone. Overall it was good.

Affordable, tasty and all about the seafood. Their house made juice drinks are incredible as well. I got the shrimp tacos – they were heavily battered. (Orden de 3 Tacos Camarón).

Food is delicious. It is fresh seafood so expect a wait after you order. Atmosphere is very nice. They were still under construction on the second level But let the pics of the food speak for itself.

Fresh, excellent seafood. And so cheap! I had raw clams for the first time ever. With fresh lime juice and hot sauce they were extraordinary. A mixed tostada was also delicious and somehow I got about a quarter of a crab on the side. Overall amazing and I can’t wait to return.

Can not wait to go back and have delicious mariscos el Rey! Fresh, delicious and super clean. There a bodega next by where you can grab a beer. Sitting under shady trees makes it nice and breezy.
