First time ever stopping by today after driving past everyday finally decided to come in. Real nice establishment.
Service was phenomenal. The lady at the counter and the chef both had smiles on their faces and overall seemed happy to be there.
The food was good too! Decent portions.
I spent 40$ on two dinners and some chips.
Restroom and dining area was very clean! Great comfortable place to enjoy some good food!
I Recommend this place, most definitely will be stopping by more often!
Great establishment.

I’ve been here twice now and the service and food was perfect.
I first ordered the chilaquiles burrito recommended by a coworker which was a little spicy for me, but good. I’d try it again with maybe easy sauce or a different one.
I dined in the second time this past week. I ordered a torta, gordita, & sope. I loved ALL their salsas, I kept rotating between them. My food came out correct after some modifications of taking ingredients off and asking for extra of others on my end. The service was perfect. Checked-in the right amount for someone unwinding after work. Cleaned off the table during the check-in.
It’s on my way home from my 3rd shift job that ends at 7am which is right when they open.
I will be back!

The El Pastor tacos were outstanding! They arrived hot on double corn tortillas that were perfectly prepared—slightly crispy on the edges yet warm and soft inside. The al pastor pork was well-seasoned with authentic flavor, sliced thin with those craveable crisp edges while staying juicy and tender. They offer five different salsas, ranging from mild to spicy, and all were excellent. I went for the hottest one (likely habanero-based) plus a bright jalapeño green salsa—both were fantastic complements. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they run a taco special, and the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

(Keep in mind photo is only half the quesadilla, i had already eaten the other half. And thats first take.)The lady behind the register had a kind sweet and warm aura. They had cool little knick snacks for sale. I got a Barbacoa quesadilla. Pretty big portion and pretty dang tasty. And walked out just under $10 coming into 2026 i consider that a really fair price. I haven’t been to every Mexican place in elgin but I wouod recommend tbis one. I’m not ashamed to say sometimes TB hits the spot that’s taco bell for those in the know, but here you’re getting better quality food and a better value altogether.

It’s the first place I enjoyed the taste of the beans and the rice since 2000, that says it all. I saw their sign for Tuesday’s sale, $1.99 taco…for sure gotta try them but don’t get my word of mouth, come on and try it yourself.

I just went through the drive through and ordered multiple things. I had asked for a burrito dinner with cheese and lettuce only in there. Then the lady asked me if i wanted rice in there and i said yes thats fine. When I received my food i noticed on the receipt that it said chicken and rice only so i opened my burrito a little to check it and it was only chicken and rice. I went back around to the drive through and politely told her that i asked for cheese and lettuce in there and they didn’t give me it she said sorry and took it 2 seconds to gave me my burrito back and i got home to eat and all they just had flipped it over. the spot i tore open to see if my order was correct was still there. Very disappointed and will not be returning

It’s literally a great place to eat. All jokes aside. The food tastes fresh. I most enjoy the carne asada, and I have it with just cilantro and onion, topped with the red salsa which they are good at making. There red salsa is mostly likely made with the freshest ingredients. Probably locally purchased. So overall, I give this place 4 stars. To earn 5 stars would take consistent great taste. Meaning, 2 years from now, the food tastes great if not improved on. Then, and only then will they get 5 stars.

As a true Mexican that I am, I will confirm that this place is legit. It is amazing food really customer, friendly staff and the atmosphere was very lively. Definitely coming back. The tacos that I ordered were of Barbacoa and Al Pastor and they were phenomenal 10 out of 10 and the salsa are delicious and so are the chips.

After paying almost $5 for one taco this is how they treat their customers. They put only like 10 pieces of meat, that’s very stingy I’m sure they make a lot of money and they can’t even hook up their customers.
