I decided to give you all a try on Saturday 9/6/25. I arrived and called the number. After attempting a few times I finally got through and the staff who answered was very nice and shared with me how ordering works. I had to park well away from the entrance but she assured me after taking my order that she would come to me with my food and for payment. The food took about 25 minutes so I suggest calling ahead. I ordered the fried chicken dinner, it comes with three sides as one is automatically rice. So I ordered yellow being you have a choice of either yellow or white. I also ordered mac n cheese and collard greens! I ordered potato salad as an additional side and one of their signature drinks! I believe it was peach lemonade, it was tasty. The chicken was fried fresh and delicious however just fried a bit too hard. The mac n cheese was cheesy and would’ve been better had it been served hot, it was merely warm but it was “good” too however cut back on some of the velveeta. The greens were tasty but had a hint of pepper spice’ however it wasn’t overpowering. The rice and gravy was prepared well. I enjoyed my meal but the reason for my four stars is due to the potato salad. Sadly it wasn’t southern and possibly store bought! It was overly creamy seemly tasting exactly how macaroni salad does and it had no eggs. So imagine that creamy base with potatoes instead of pasta. Wasn’t nasty just not traditional and different. I was extremely disappointed being this is an authentic soul-food restaurant. Surely someone there can make homemade potato salad and the southern big back kind our people are use to. So yes i removed a star from it being that specific dish is a staple to us just like fried chicken! Nonetheless i will be back and looking to try one of their many other sides being they have a lot to chose from and a large menu also specials. This restaurant was busy and customers were happy so that’s always a plus when you see that during your first try.

Owners are nice and friendly, and staff are as well.
I never mind waiting because I know my food is FRESH and prepared in a clean and appropriate environment.
I wish they had a sister restaurant and truck in North Pinellas County.
One is loaded seafood over rice (my personal fave)
Next is loaded seafood over a huge baked potato.
Desserts are amazing as well. My personal fav’s are the peach cobbler then the red velvet cake.

The best soul food I’ve had living in Florida for 22 years! Fresh everything. Coming from a Georgia girl, it was amazing food, and big proportions! Highly recommend! Fried chicken, fried pork chop excellent, Stuffled Salmon amazing. The Fresh taste of the black eyed peas, and lime beans were delicious!

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I ordered the shrimp pasta. At first I wasn’t sure as to what I would rate it but after I added garlic powder to it I can say it was delicious. The pasta was creamy and not runny with a generous amount of shrimp. The garlic bread was tasty as well as the broccoli. I had my meal delivered from doordash and it arrived hot and promptly. I will definitely order from this restaurant again.

Took a chance and ordered through door dash and when I tell you my food was still hot from the kitchen and so good! I had the steak sandwich all the way with fries and a side of the hot honey wings and man oh man was it good! I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Just when I think I can’t be anymore in love with Baja I find another amazing dish that makes me say WoW!!! Loaded Seafood Pasta is BeYond Awesome with such fresh ingredients!! Bajas Southern Cooking catered our event tonight and it was amazing. Everything arrived on time, hot and ready to serve. The wings were crispy and full of flavor – definitely a favorite, the mac and cheese was creamy and rich, and the cornbread was delicious with the perfect texture. There was plenty of food for everyone and people kept going back for seconds.
The whole experience was easy from start to finish. The food was clearly made with care and everyone kept talking about how good it was. We will definitely be ordering from them again.
