This place is tasty ! I liked the ceviche tostada and tacos de pescado y Cameron. Customer services is great and they are always paying attention if you need anything. I liked the wine selection from Valle de Guadalupe. Great airy, well lit atmosphere. It is very inviting and the food is delish.

Incredible food and service. Asa, our waiter, was super courteous and kind. The Pescado Zarandeado is absolutely sensational. Incredibly buttery, tender, and well seasoned in an adobo marinade. The fish and shrimp taco were amazing too. The Tostada Sambal is absolutely divine, and lastly, the three different salsas are some of the best I have had in my life. Highly recommend.

We went on a Friday an hour and a half before they closed. They put our name on the waiting list. We waited 30 minutes with many tables opening up and nothing. As I was leaving because they weren’t seating us,I saw a person i new walking out and he said that the place wasn’t worth it. The food lacked flavor and the service was horrible. I dont get it, how is customer service so bad. We even asked the lady how much longer and she said they were busy but the ladies were standing around just talking in Spanish how they were tired and just wanted to go and have a drink and chill. Seriously not worth the bother. Wasted 45 minutes of my life to not be seated. Thank goodness for in-n-out.

We waited about 40 min to be seated which was worth the wait, I had the grilled fish and a sangria. We weren’t to impressed with the black agua chile it was okay. The salsas in the table were really good specially the green one. The service wasn’t the best I felt like I constantly had to get the waiters attention for something overall great food and cute little place!

Excellent mariscos. The regular fish taco is top, great selection on menu. Excellent fast service, competitive prices, beer on tap. Hope they stay around.

A week ago my family and I visited La Pesca Cevicheria. I have to say we were excited since we’d seen so much on social media about it (obviously they invested, that’s good) and had it on our list of local restaurants to visit. We are closer to the Southbay so any GOOD restaurants closer to us is always a plus. We called ahead of time to see if we could reserve, with 2 little ones we are always looking to minimize the wait times as they get restless relatively quickly (they are 1 and 3). However, reservations are not accepted and we’re told the wait was about 15 minutes, not a big deal. When we made it there the host realized we had the little ones and told us the wait would be longer because we needed the tables in the center as the sit N stroll chairs didn’t fitting the high barstools ot booths. Again, not a big deal and we waiter (A LONG TIME). After about 45 minutes the center tables were finally availe for a party of 4, a toddler and a baby so the experience began. Why the long intro??? Well here it goes, the service was great, friendly and attentive. We ordered what was recommended by the waitress after we asked for a few suggestions. All good recommendations ☺️
The seafood is very fresh and flavors are on point paired with a good wine from the local Ensenada Vineyard made our day. The tostadas are a decent size compared to the price. We ordered fish fingers for our 3yo which are not the outb of the box ones as in lots of restaurants so that was good and they were tasty, my son gobbled them down along with the fries. My 1 yo was asleep for most of the time so he didn’t have much of an opinion. Now for the reason on 3 stars and not 4 or even 5, which I have no problem doing if they are deserved. Well, at the time the check came we saw there was an automatic 18% service charge for our party of 6 (including the 3yo and 1yo). I dont have a problem with that as in most restaurants in SD it is a normal thing to see in the check for parties of 6 or more, HOWEVER, when it is called a service charge and 2 of the 6 people are not actually served it is an issue (for me). When I asked the host in a very polite manner, her response was that it was for 6 people. This bothered me because, again. There was no service for 2 of the 4 people . I replied with “really, you’re including the 3 & 1 year olds which we’re not served?” Her response could have been stated in a nicer tone, after all she is in the service and hospitality industry, but it was not and stated it was policy. We’ll to the newly established business I’d give the advise of calling the fee something other than “service charge” because I am sure someone else with a party of 6 and part of that party receives no service because they are babies or toddlers will question it also. The deliverance could have also been perhaps in a more polite tone. Other thank this everything was great and would recommend to visit. We may not got back soon because of the previously mentioned but it was a good experience.
