Don’t let the very small trailer fool you. BBQ is great. Grabbed food on the way out of town yesterday. The ribs and brisket were awesome!!! This is a take-out place, so if you don’t like the ambience… get a better car.

Absolutely stupendously delicious!!! I’m a trucker too and I stop at LOTS of BBQ places all over the country whenever I get the chance and this is by far the best one yet!!! I got the 3 meat plate with ribs, brisket and chicken and it was to die for! Comes with potato salad and baked beans which were also perfectly tasty. The only thing I didn’t care for was the sauce (maybe too much vinegar idk). But the meat is so juicy and tender and flavorful it didn’t need any sauce. It has an outstanding smoky flavor to it that deserves to be left alone. I can’t wait to come back!!

My husband and I are from Memphis, TN and wanted to try authentic Texas-style BBQ for the first time. I checked Google Maps in search for the most highly rated places. Mr. D’s BBQ is the only BBQ establishment in the Texarkana area with a Google Maps rating of 4.9 stars – (many other establishments tie for 2nd with 4.6 stars) and it definitely earns the rating. Impossibly tender meat, generous portions, and lots of flavor.
Tip for first timers – the location is in the feont yard of the owners property, so you will either need to park across the street at a gas station and walk over or pull up into the owner’s driveway and park until your food is ready.

My husband is a trucker driver and we decided to stop at the Love’s across the street, where we saw Mr. D’s BBQ and thought we should give it a try to get out of the monotony of trucker food. I am SO GLAD we did!!! The food there was absolutely delicious and Mrs. D was a delight! My husband got the gumbo that packed so much flavor! I got the pulled pork sandwich which the pork was tender and the bbq sauce was perfect! We also were given a couple of smoke ribs to try…and oh my goodness!!! They were immediately gobbled up!!! Would 10/10 recommend this place if you are stopping in Texarkana!!!

After a crazy lil nasty run in with Big Jakes early today, I was on the hunt for some GOOD BBQ…Hands down I’ve found my new & only BBQ spot. I googled this cute lil place and drove out. Listen y’all won’t be disappointed. You want some good convo and fast service, please check her out. Man the portions are great, she literally made my day. This place is AMAZING! Food is ready quick, the BBQ is great and the service is top tier! Been coming to the love’s truck stop across the street for a while and finally realized what was across the street. Now I don’t come here without grabbing a plate! Even adjusted my routes before just to make sure I have time to grab a plate and keep rolling LOL! BEST BBQ IN TX hands down!

This place has been a staple for me since 2016 when they opened. Their back story is very cool, and the food is amazing!! Don’t let the little shack fool you, you couldn’t imagine whats in there.
