We’ve dined at the Joel Palmer House twice now, and both visits have been truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out — we were greeted outside, welcomed in, and personally walked to our table, which immediately set the tone for such a thoughtful and intimate experience.

The staff is incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. We enjoyed the omakase menu with a few upgrades, and every course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The food was creative, refined, and deeply satisfying from start to finish.

The wine list is massive and incredibly well curated — clearly crafted with intention and care, with something special for every palate.

Everything about the experience felt personal, elevated, and memorable. Joel Palmer House is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return again.

I always look forward to dining at this most charming house and dining atmosphere in wine country. Greeting and service by the sommelier is so professional yet warm and inviting. 5 stars for service. Indulged in the 10 course Omakase experience as last time. Some of the dishes were hits and misses with noticeably smaller portions on my visit this time around. Didnt have fresh truffles which i was looking forward to, but still an enjoyable experience overall. The cheese course with accoutrements was delicious. Choosing the cheese and watching it being cut was a delightful experience. Wish this place well and many more years of success !

The best restaurant in Oregon, which we coupled with Bella Collina B&B so as to have little driving after the fine wines.

Five course set menu, focusing on mushrooms, with little treats between courses. I can’t eat smoked foods and my guy does not eat beef. Cheese was on the side so I could just nibble; duck was substituted for beef stroganoff.
The family forages is obviously; the wine list, especially Pinot Noir, is very long. This is a meal where you take your time, and photos. I still had an entire course left to go, and a tiny treat, but I won’t spoil.

It was a wonderful experience to go to the Joe Palmer House. My husband and I had a great time celebrating our second child there. The staff were wonderful and attentive working around my dietary restrictions. It is a pricy restaurant to go to, but definitely worth the experience. Dress up nice and enjoy a fun time!

What a unique and fun experience, Alex was fantastic with service. Things were a little slow at times since it was the first warm day of spring and everyone was outside except us.

Food was delicious and we waddled out with dessert to go because we were so stuffed. Mushroom touches to everything as advertised, never overpowering though. Definitely rich with the soups and mains.

Huge wine cellar but we couldn’t drink anymore after a full day of tastings. Mostly super high end wines but a few more approachable price points hidden in the list. Cocktails were unique and excellent.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary dining outdoors under the tent. The atmosphere was similar to someone’s backyard. Pretty but nothing extraordinary. The service was amazing. The food was very artistic and most of it was very good. It took us almost 3 hours to complete our 10 course meal. We ordered 1 custom mixed cocktail each, which was fun and had a moderately priced bottle of wine costing about $80. Our total experience cost just over $700. It was fun but I will never spend this amount of money on a meal again.

We had an amazing dining experience at the restaurant last night. They have brought back the a la carte dining options with their signature focus on mushroom-themed creations.

Next time we will save room for their Omakase dining experience. Eating here was a culinary highlight of our trip to the valley!

Show up if you’re ready for an experience of culinary art. Such an amazing time with my girlfriends! Fantastic wine list, excellent food (definitely try the mushroom soup and beef stroganoff if it’s on the menu). We will be back again

I hesitate to write anything as it’s similar to taking a photo of natural beauty, the photo never does the view justice. From the service; Josh was an extremely knowledgeable, personable and kind sommelier, to the personal touches of ambiance the space provides to the procession of tasty, visually appealing and creative meals; I would highly recommend this restaurant experience being worth the cost. Match your personal celebration with a place worthy of an equal high dining experience.
