Nice resturant and good food. I had street tacos with lengua and they were excellent. First time I’ve tried Michelada and it was very good also! We had a small group at the time of opening but still struggled with the server and timeliness. They have very good salsa and the beans are excellent. I’d recommend for someone looking for a nice place to eat as it was overall pretty good.

1st time customer. Came here with my daughter for a quick lunch. The service was great! Our server was great, he was very friendly and prompt. Salsa n chips were good, salsa is, as usually is, a lil spicy, but still so good. Sweet tea was spot on! The food was delicious and hot. The atmosphere was relaxed. Menu is clear and easy to read. There are vegetarian options as well, which is clearly marked on the menu. Very nice dining experience. Highly recommend the Dijon chicken. Plenty leftovers as well. Great place.

Multiple disappointing experiences in a row. Most recently, I got the Pick 3 with tacos and Flan. I called in and got it to go. When I arrived it took forever to get waited on (they kept running to the back) and they told me only the owner can process cash payments. The waiter ended up just giving me cash from his tips for change (I wasn’t given a receipt either because they didnt actually ring it up) I spent about 10-15 mins just to finally get to pay and found out my food was sitting there the whole time.There was barely any rice or beans and the tacos were small and bland (it was also cold when I picked it up)
The Flan was okay but I wouldn’t order it again. I used to love Ernesto’s but I won’t be coming back.

5 star everything!!! Chips are the freshest in town! Salsa has the best flavor! Cheese dip-hands down-the best! Servers-also the best(especially Miko)!!! Never had Pollo Playa better than theirs-so flavorful!!! Top notch from the food to the bathroom!!!

First time eating in an Ernesto’s. Service to table was fast & efficient. Our server appeared quickly with friendly smile and welcoming. Clear speaking English which is appreciated as I’m not fluent in Spanish, making this experience more peaceful and relaxed. Place was clean and updated looked nice & inviting. Salsa and drinks hit the table in under 5 min. Salsa was bland for my liking, needs more fine tuning with herbs and seasoning. However not the main event for me so I’ll move right into the main dishes. First pictures was my husbands grilled chicken burrito, he loved it said it was full of flavor and cleaned the plate.
The next pictures is a chicken chimichanga, it was spicy chicken and shredded. I didn’t know it was shredded chicken or I would have went another rout as I personally do not care for shredded chicken. In this case it was full of flavor and the taste was amazing, I just can’t get through shredded chicken it’s so tough. So I didn’t finish and stuck to my sides and toppings. Otherwise it was a great chimi, just not for me. I will return again in a few weeks to see how things are flowing out, as this is a new restaurant to Owensboro, KY.

We did not have a good experience. Very strange restaurant. Some kind of case of Mountain dew was setting in a table “for sale” random stuff just setting around everywhere. I ordered the salmon with mango sauce. When it came out, there was no mango sauce. The waitress was extremely rude when I asked for the sauce. The rice was crusty it was so dry. The salmon definitely was not fresh. It was not the cleanest place either. Just felt like they had given up. Will definitely not be going back!

My family and I ate here for the first time last week! The food was really good, and a decent price. I had the seafood and steak fajita, which was super tasty! The waiter was friendly and stayed on top of our needs as a table. If you like Mexican cuisine food, don’t be afraid to try them out.
