Went here for dinner. I had tilapia. Other than a little too salty for me (others might like it that way, but I’m not big on salty stuff), it was very good. The person who took our order was very friendly and answered our questions. It appears that this is mostly a take out place even though there are some tables there. The food is served in styrofoam containers

Stay away! We visited in January and ordered a 3 pc combo dinner to go with all of our selections being the 2 pieces of catfish (expecting 6 pieces of catfish). While I was in the store, it took a while for anyone to come up front and when someone finally did, he ignored me and started talking to the gentleman behind me being all friendly asking why he didn’t come the day before. I was annoyed, finally got my food, paid and left. When I got home, I saw that we received 3 catfish and a couple of very pale colored, mangled filets that were falling apart. I was quite disappointed. I called the store and they did not answer, so I emailed with these photos and did not get a response. I followed up to my email two more times, still with no response. It’s very apparent to me that this store only cares about their revenue. I mean … I suppose all establishments should. But what happened to customer service these days? At any rate, The food was disgusting. Don’t even bother if you want over priced poor quality food and bad customer service. I should have known better.

The service was so good first of all. He was extremely kind and friendly. I wanted to replace the toast with a coleslaw last second and instead he gave me another one for free. I got the perch dinner and everything in it was amazing. The fish is fresh and fried very nicely, the coleslaw is great and so are the fries. Will definitely be coming back!!

The fish is so so good and the shrimps were delicious
The bread toast was a surprise for me

The restaurant is clean the ambiance is also fine and the staff is friendly and helpful to the customers.
Ambience : 7 (they just opened soft opening not grand opening the staff said so i guess they need to improve more in this area

This place likes to lie about giving you a refund for items ordered that they didnt have available. I placed an online order for large gizzard and large catfish all steak. When I arrived at the store the cook who was also the cashier said verbatim I’ve been trying to call you because we don’t have anymore steak. My first question was how could he have possibly been trying to call me when I never left my number when I placed the order. To his credit, he did offer catfish filets, in which I declined because one thing I do know is that a lot of these places will sell you catfish filets but serve you a much cheaper fish. I called once I made it back to work as it dawned on me that the man never talked about refunding me my money. He proceeded to say that he gave me the refund. And well, well I look at my account and he had NOT refunded my money, which means that I now have to file a complaint. You cannot play when it comes to people’s money and you will be refunding me my money for the food I did not get. Pay close attention to your accounts. He never has to worry about me ordering food from there again. They keep this up and they’ll be just like the Harold’s that use to be there….OUT OF BUSINESS!

It was our first time there and the owner was super kind to us and the food was delicious we ordered tilapia and jack salmon to go. Highly recommend. Location is great, right across from the Westmont Metra.

Excellent food and excellent service. Everything is cooked to order so wait times can be long. I was told 20 minutes for a chicken dinner. Ended up ordering fried catfish and it was excellent. Their fries we’re also nicely seasoned.
I wouldn’t highly recommend this place, but I would order online or over the phone if you are in a hurry.
