The cornerstone of NaKorn is our belief that authentic Thai food should be found not only in Thailand—but here, as well. In short, our inability to get foods that reminded us of home – without an 8,600 mile trip to Bangkok – is a primary reason we wanted to open an authentic Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is just as dynamic as the menu; it’s the perfect place to enjoy a sunny day from the shade of our lush garden, to relax by candlelight on weeknights. We differentiate ourselves by giving customers a nostalgic glimpse of the past by offering a casual yet exceptional dining experience, reminiscent of 1970s Thai shophouses.

Fantastic meal with thoughtful dishes, drinks and service! As a vegetarian, I was very impressed by how my options were elevated and didn’t feel like an afterthought. My friend really enjoyed her Arctic Char plate as well. Will definitely be back!

I have been here about 4 times in total including today. Incredible food, friendly service from a variety of their servers, and a relaxed atmosphere to match. Between all of my visits some of my favorite dishes have been the shrimp tapioca crackers, the fried branzino, and have had a variety of items on their specials that change out every now again (Croissant sticky rice ice cream dessert, Hat Yai Fried chicken, etc.). The Bangkok mule is also a solid cocktail!

Amazing food, service, and ambiance. Lively but not too loud to have a conversation. Very accommodating. Food was spectacular. Only “negative” is it was pricey, but not more so than most similar (and some not as good) restaurants. Worth it for us, will be back!

We had a wonderful experience at Nakorn kitchen in Evanston! The ambience is absolutely beautiful – warm, modern, and inviting. The food was delicious, with amazing presentation that truly felt like art on a plate. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who shared her philosophy that “you eat with your eyes first” — and it shows in every dish. Even the small details impressed us, like how they thoughtfully adjusted the ice cube in my husband’s Old Fashioned. The service, flavors, and care in every detail made the evening special. We can’t wait to return and try something new!

NaKorn is absolutely phenomenal! Probably some of the best food I’ve had in the Chicago area. I had the Blue Crab Meat dish and my friend had a fish dish. Both were amazing, but the fish dish my friend had was extraordinary. Cocktails and mocktails were great and so was the pomelo salad. Will be back again.

First time here for my son’s birthday, came because the reviews seemed pretty good but definitely overrated. We ordered two appetizers, the chicken wraps and the poached prawns. Let’s start with the prawns they were in a tom yum broth that had good flavor but nothing can ruin a dish more han having it served to you barely lukewarm, I even asked the waiter if this dish should be hot and he said it’s supposed to be, he did ask if we wanted to send it back, but honestly I’ve given up on sending dishes back anymore, it seems like it’s the norm anymore, we just ate it anyway. We also ordered the chicken lettuce wrap, which left a lot to be desired. The chicken was dry and could have use a side of some kind of dipping sauce, which most lettuce wraps come with at most restaurants, but can someone please tell me why you would put the chicken mostly over the lettuce? They should be put on the side having to carefully pull out the lettuce from under the chicken, having to be careful so you didnt have chicken flying around when you pulled a piece out from under the chicken is crazy, placing the lettuce this way only left us with mostly soggy lettuce leaves NOT GOOD. We also did not care for the flavor profile of the chicken, definitely had better elsewhere..my son did enjoy his coconut curry braised chicken and it had good flavor, I had the sauteed tiger prawns with thin noodles, my dish was extremely sweet, all you could taste was the sweetness not savory at all, which totally ruined this dish for me it was also very dry too, there’s should have at least been a little more sauce on this dish so it wasn’t so dry while eating. Over all, my son wasn’t excited for this birthday dinner, looks like I’ll owe him redo someplace else. Don’t think we’ll be back here again,

We were super impressed by NaKorn tonight. Delicious flavors, interesting cocktails, beautiful presentation, stellar service, and even live guitar music!
Our server was able to answer all of our questions about the unusual ingredients on the menu including Yu-Choi (like Bok Choy) and a cocktail ingredient that is a liquor that is frequently taken as shots in China.
One of the owners (I think) also came to talk to us and shared that the broth my husband ate every single drop of was their mother’s recipe ❤️
We are so lucky to have such a top notch, fine dining, yet approachable restaurant in Evanston. They even had some same-day reservations available, yet another reason I love this place!
Also there are vegetarian and vegan options (even a vegan cake on the dessert menu!) and even a small kids menu!

I’ve dined here three times in the past six months. Not only is it my favorite restaurant in Evanston, I would say it’s in my top ten in the Chicagoland area. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is great. Highly recommend the pomelo salad. The atmosphere is great. They have outdoor dining in the summer and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
