My first time in there yesterday. I ordered beef stew with arroz con grandules and platanos dulce. They were so nice and honestly the food was really good. Their arroz con grandules was sooo good. (I have gone to other places where the rice and food was over salted). The stew beef was so well and tender. I got a side of plantains and let me tell you, they were not stingy. I got a lot. Let me say the staff/owners/cooks were super nice. Their service alone would make me go back. But their food calls me back. Great place, happy they are in town.

I visited this restaurant on Tuesday afternoon. This place is Clean!!! Located on Moser Road Pottstown, there is ample parking in front of the store and in the side lot. I had the beef oxtail and rice. It was delicious to say the least. If you’re looking for Real Food, unprocessed and tasty, you have to give this please a try. Eat in or take out you won’t be disappointed.

Well me being Hispanic know how to cook. This place truly made the headlines for me I heard about and I took a ride and had the chicken stew went back the next day and had oxtails and I went back the next day and had oxtails again the food is always on point the portions are great and the price is also very good. I use to go to other few spots but the food wasn’t consistent like at Tropical staff is family owned when im in the mood for Spanish I stop and get some fresh home made Dominican food.
Pray for this location to continue to grow. If you had a bad experience please dont give up on trying other things they just trying to make a living and you know we all like to eat.

Omg everything I got was delicious…the white rice was fluffy, the red beans were made fresh, the pernil melted in your mouth and the flavor in it, amazing…the chicharrón was so good and crispy… I’m so happy that this place opened up, the staff was so pleasant & friendly… definitely going back soon…

I stopped by and tried the mangu with the three hits — it looked great, but it could definitely use a little more seasoning. Everything tasted a bit on the bland side. The juices were very sweet, more on the syrupy side than fresh. I also ordered the mondongo, and it came out pretty fatty, with a noticeable layer of fat on top. The broth was thinner than I expected, and it could have used a little more flavor — I even ended up adding some seasoning at home.
That being said, I’m really happy they’ve opened and I’m excited to see them grow and improve! I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and trying their lunch items. Wishing them all the best as they settle in!

I was very excited to try this new restaurant.
I ordered a large pernil platter with white rice and beans, a large beef stew with rice and gandules and an empanada.
This is my honest review…
The white rice was undercooked, the beans had no flavor and the pernil was served to me with half of it being fat and the rest was dried up oily meat.
The beef stew was soft, however it had an off flavor about it and there were no veggies like potatoes, etc. The rice with gandules was off as well.
Finally the empanada…so salty and no flavor at all.
With this restaurant being new, I’d like to think they will be making adjustments. Until then, I won’t be trying them again.
If I could make a suggestion, use cilantro for your beans or add a pinch more sofrito. The rice with gandules and the beef stew could use a bay leaf. And please work on the picadillo. It was pretty salty and the flavor was pretty off. More water for the white rice or at least cook it longer please
I hope this place gets better.
Update- I’ve ordered a few times since then and imthebfood has improved. I ordered white rice, beans and pernil and it smacked.
I’ve updated my rating to 4 stars
