After reading other reviews that gave this place 1 star, not really sure where you ate at. Food and service was amazing. We were a group of 4 going on a Wednesday evening. The inside was very cozy. The hostess was very nice and polite. We had a 10 minute wait and many guests leaving raved about the food. As we were shown to our table the food smelled and looked great. Our server was very good. The “bread” as a previous reviewer had said looked and tasted like wonder bread, ours was very soft and tasted like it was made that afternoon. I had the spaghetti and meatballs which was very good. The sauce was rich and the meatballs were very flavorful. My wife had the chicken parmesan. The chicken was very tender and lots of mozzarella cheese. Our other couple both had the lasagna. A very large portion for one and looked very authentic. They both raved about the flavor. A friend recommended Piccolo’s and I am very pleased how it was.

Piccolo’s is the reason I generally avoid Omaha ” classics” Murky, dim atmosphere. So so service. Bland, uninspired food.
Ordered a prime rib dinner that came with a weak iceberg salad drowned in dressing. Side of spaghetti was straight out of elementary school lunch rooms. The steak itself was lukewarm and lacking in any flavor. The cut itself tasted OK and was cooked right.
The price of the meal didn’t reflect the experience I had. If this is classic, I’ll stick to something more modern that has some love and flavor.

I have lived in Omaha for only a few years and it is hard to find good, consistent food made by actual people. Real families in business for their friends family and community. I believe i have found one of those places in Piccolo’s. Very Happy that I found you, thank you Piccolo’s

You guys are restaurant-ing wrong!
First of all, when you come to a family-owned, fancy, Italian eatery, you’ll expect a few things.
1) tasty, bold and authentic Italian entrees: I got the breaded ravioli and it was simply tasteless. My husband ordered fish: he said it was good but it was not de-boned so it was a pain in the a$$ to eat. My mom in law ordered their crispy chicken salad, which was iceberg lettuce, two slices of tomato, fresh shredded parmesean, and a “freezer” or “premade” chicken patty, cut up on top. Eleven dollars for that? Hell no.
You can get a side of Spaghetti with your dish, which is literally 1/4 cup of Spaghetti and sauce in a small dish. A side salad also comes with it— it is LITERALLY chopped iceberg lettuce and your choice of salad dressing. Really guys? You can do better than that.
2) FRESH BREAD/ PASTRIES!
You know, the breadsticks or fresh made rolls?! Right????
They give you a basket of SLICED WHITE SANDWHICH BREAD. It literally looks like wonder bread.
3) Good service
Our waitress was alright. My mom was ordering and she started talking about something else on the menu after she had told the waitress what she wanted to order. The waitress interrupted her to ask me what I wanted to order. Um, yeah lady, you should be polite and have patience. Maybe you could sell my mom another dish. You could have asked her if she had a question about the dish. The lady also didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink. Only asked us if we wanted something from the bar.
Our utensils were dirty. Also the lighting is terrible– the place is beautiful, but I could barely see my husband’s face, turn the beautiful chandeliers up! Also, everything is way over priced for the quality of food that you are served. Make it FRESH and those prices will reflect the quality of the food, but at this point, it seems like yall are only looking to make a HUGE PROFIT MARGIN!!!!
Needless to say, I will not be coming back unless they change pretty much everything, but ESPECIALLY the food items. Y’all need fresh bread, tasty dishes, and some damn romaine in the salad (at least). Olive Garden is a million times better.

I don’t know how the heck anyone is rating this above poor. The food was terrible. Mashed potatoes tasted stale, soup was clearly something from the store and salty, prime rib was dry and had absolutely no taste, pasta tasted cheap and cold, and salad? Hahaha. This so called salad was a bowl of lettuce. Literally. Nothing else. Just lettuce. Which also, they drowned it in salad dressing. The bread was white bread. Obviously from the store. It wasn’t warm or toasted it was just plain ole’ white bread. Did not bother with dessert. Sister hated the food, mother hated the food, I hated the food. The waitresses were very rude and seemed angry. They were not personable at all and none of them smiled. Do not recommend. Go somewhere else. 0/10

This has been my favorite place to eat for years. I celebrate all my special occasions at Piccolo’s. The t-bone steaks are my favorite and also the homemade soups, especially the mushroom soup.

The place was much nicer inside than out but the food was less than stellar. Although the steak was good and relatively cheap ($15 for a 16 ounce T-Bone) it was served with what looked like wonder bread, iceberg lettuce for a salad, green beans from a can, and instant mashed potatoes. I would not recommend this place.

I have been going to Piccolo’s since I was a little boy. The staff there is AWESOME. It gets pretty busy most nights and on the weekends. I understand why though. The food there is so great!

Good food but be prepared to receive large portions. It is your typical old traditional steakhouse with an excellent salad bar and juicy steaks.

Good food, how can you go wrong when Warren Buffet eats there. Try the root beer it’s keg root beer. Also root beer floats. Good steaks and Italian food.
