Lavaca Mexican Grill was absolutely delicious! We had a great experience from start to finish, and our waitress, Stephanie, was outstanding friendly, attentive, and welcoming.
This is a family owned and operated restaurant, which really shows in the care and hospitality. Their menu is extensive and full of great options. We ordered the quesa birria, and it was both beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The salsa was fantastic as well.
We truly enjoyed our time together and will definitely be back!

La Vaca is a must for Mexican food lovers. They took over the old DQ on Wilkinson and have done some really good work inside.
They have the best tacos in Belmont, amongst other things. Amazing daily specials and we are avid Taco Tuesday goers. The service is great and a very friendly staff.
Must order a papusa, you won’t regret it. Looking forward to seeing the continued upgrades made to the restaurant. Will be in to try their breakfast as it looks so good.

Honestly 10/10!! The hospitality, THE FOOD soo is so delicious & authentic!!! This place is by far the best Mexican food I’ve had since I lived in Mexico! I’ve even had Mexican food in California (I just recently moved from 3 months ago) and in my last 10 years I haven’t found a better place with GOOD Mexican food till now!!! So please come try it for yourselves, everything is fresh and yummy you’ll come back for more! I promise!

We spontaneously decided to stop by after visiting White Water Center and have something to eat. And this restaurant exceeded our expectations. They have the best margaritas. Food was very delicious, my Mom tried it the first time in life and was impressed. Service is very good, they brought drink samples to her to make her choice too. It is a gem! Our half Ukrainian-half American family recommends this place.

The food was absolutely phenomenal. I could have never imagined how good their salsa is. And their guacamole is so fresh and soothing. The atmosphere is comfy and they put in new interior recently – it looks great. We came on Tuesday and the tacos were like 2 dollars. The staff were so nice and they sang my sister happy birthday. The desserts were GENUINELY OUT OF THIS WORLD. my sister got the pudding thing, and even just the drizzled caramel tasted high quality. I got churros – THEY WERE THE BOMB. my sister got I dunno I forgot what but the name is Spanish and it looks like a cake and it was SO YUMMY. I genuinely can’t wait to come back here. They said they’re also planning to save money to start game nights, so pls come here!!! This place is so underrated it’s insane. (I’m 12 I’m sorry if my grammar is bad lol) and everybody was so polite. We love La Vaca! The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is fantastic. They’ve made some wonderful improvements to the interior and have plans to continue improving it. We enjoy Taco Tuesdays–the carnitas tacos are the BEST!

5⭐️ all around! They recently updated the inside and it’s absolutely beautiful! Parking is easy, bathrooms are clean and now the atmosphere is just so cozy and inviting.
The food has always been phenomenal, the salsa is absolutely delicious. The queso was so good with a hint of spice. I have gotten a few things when I go – birria tacos, chicken quesadilla, the chicken burrito – the portions are enormous and every single thing I have gotten has been so freaking good. The rice is good. The fries are good. The sweet tea is incredible I don’t have a single bad thing to say about the food. I have been multiple times and they just don’t miss.
Service is great, personable and fast! Don’t miss out on an opportunity to have some of the best Mexican food south of Charlotte! And arguably in Charlotte.
