They also offer a lot of vegetarian options, my only complaint was the mocktail, it tasted just like a soda and a watered down soda at that, if that was good it would’ve been a perfect dinner. It was still deeelicious.
The place isn’t that pretty but in honestly doesn’t matter when the food is that good.
The tiranga paneer was the highlight. Paneer was soft smoky and flavorful.
The chat items were on point and flavourful. Kofta curry was delicious. The masala dosa, chutney and idli kind of let us down, but sambar was very good. Sambar was authentic. Idli seemed hard and had a layer formed on them. Masala dosa texture was grainy and the masala in it seemed not too fresh.
The ambiance was good and service was quick.
All in all we had a decent experience
I also have to mention the papdi chaat. I’m a Mumbaikar, and after moving to the USA, I’ve missed real Mumbai-style chaat so much. But this papdi chaat took me straight back to the streets of Mumbai — fresh, balanced, nostalgic, and absolutely spot-on.
Their buffet is super tasty and super filling. We tried dosa, sambar, chutney (all excellent), soft naans, chicken vindaloo, Punjabi-style egg curry, paneer and chicken tikka masala (paneer was incredibly soft), dal, dal khichdi, gulab jamun, and mango lassi. The mango lassi had a little fiber due to the mango type, but still tasted great.
We also had a kulfi treat — super cute and the perfect sweet ending.
Another thing worth mentioning: we requested a boiled egg for our toddler, even though it wasn’t on the menu, and they were kind enough to prepare it for us without any hesitation. That small gesture meant a lot.
The restaurant opens at 12:30 PM and the buffet starts at 1:30 PM. They even took our order earlier in the afternoon and delivered it to our hotel right on time.
The staff is very friendly — some speak Spanish, and there are Hindi-speaking staff as well. The chef is amazing, and just like the name “Suvai,” the food is truly full of authentic flavor.
If you’re visiting Mexico City and craving Indian food, just head straight to Suvai. Highly recommended!
I really loved everything that we got!, very authentic!
good service and the owners were really friendly too!
Absolutely fantastic — the best Indian food I’ve had in Mexico. It genuinely rivaled Dishoom in London. The staff were incredible, so warm and sweet, and the whole chicken was outstanding.
If the restaurant owners see this: please keep going — you’re doing something truly special. Thank you for having a dream and letting us taste a bit of it. ✨
The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their warm hospitality added so much value to the overall experience.
If you are in Mexico City, I strongly recommend visiting this place. It’s a rare gem offering authentic Indian cuisine with top-notch service. Every dish we tried was amazing, and I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu. A fantastic spot for both Indian food lovers and anyone looking for a flavorful, memorable meal!
