Pushy tipping culture at this spot!!! Walked in and there is no wait staff. You place your order at a window and fix your own drink, they bring you the food but that’s it. Once done ordering it pushes a tip screen with a 15% minimum, which is frankly ridiculous when they aren’t serving you. You’d especially think they wouldn’t need tips when the prices are so high!!! $22 for 6 shrimp, flounder, and a side. Pay your workers better before shoving that responsibility off on your patrons. Of course I tipped because I’d feel bad not, but I’m probably not going to return because of the price and the tipping practices.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Fresh, good, but the portion for the money is just not enough. Also they forgot one of my measly 6 shrimp the platter came with, and I had to go back up waiting for someone else to order so I could talk to the one front facing staff member.
To be clear the staff were all nice and did their job, but the way this establishment is run basically pressures the guests into tipping instead of paying their staff better, and can’t handle when something goes wrong because there’s no one waiting tables. If it was run better and was a bit more reasonable this place would be five stars.

Some of the best seafood in Summerville! The Shrimp and Crab Nachos were amazing, and well worth the price. The hot honey shrimp and grits were perfectly cooked, silky and delicious!! Definitely recommend that everyone try this place, you won’t be disappointed!!

3/7 was my first time coming here with my friends. I ordered seafood macaroni, chicken tenders with crab bites and fries. I sat at the table with my friends and they only brought my seafood macaroni out and was told they were working on the others. I watched them bring all of my friend’s food. I asked about it again and even ordered to go food for my significant other. I ask about it a third time and the guy went to the back and told his manager. I came to the counter to ask for my food to go because my friends were finish. I was told “well I was told, you’re just now saying something” by the manager. Which is not true, I felt like that young lady should’ve told her manager, I did ask! She literally tried to avoid the situation. That’s when I was shock and ask for a refund. She kept making comments and telling me to wait. She refunded me my money and try to give me a $25 gift card. I didn’t take it and left crying, I told my friends I was going to my car because I was trying to work with them until that comment was made. It was so embarrassing to see the whole kitchen looking at me like I was in the wrong. They sent the black guy out the door for damage control and the gift card. I believe his name was Chef G, he was nice but that damage was already done. I didn’t take it because I won’t be back. That manager definitely made it so bad! She blamed it on her being short staff but there was no one in front of us so I’m confuse on how it happened. She immediately took her employees side but literally, my friends and I wouldn’t mind waiting if she got my side of the story. Like why would I watch everybody eat and not say anything????

This is a wonderful fastfood style seafood joint. Perfect for a quick but excellent meal. Like all seafood it’s a bit pricey, but I have to say the food quality was better than expected. We really enjoyed the flavor of the food and the sauces. Highly recommend this place, but be prepared to pay! 🙂

My wife recommended this place for us to try. At first, the menu didn’t really impress me but I was down to try it anyway. When you go in, you have to go straight to the counter to place your order. You sit where you choose to, you get your own utensils and all that but they bring the food to you. The cooks and staff are good about coming out to you to make sure your food is to your liking and expectations. I will say that this place is on the pricey side for the portion sizes that you get but hey, it is what it is. The customer service was some of the best that I’ve had at a restaurant and as a person who commends people doing a good job, this place gets my respect. My wife loved their Hot honey grits. She said it’s some of the best grits that she’s had in her life. My platter(Granny shark) was pretty decent. The baked mac and chess were banging. If the prices, or at least the portion sizes were a little more in line to me, I would’ve given them a 5. I hope that you enjoy your food if you choose to come here. Take care.

Great food! I was a little worried that the breading on the food would be too much but it was perfect. My group had the Mommy Shark, the crab grilled cheese, grilled shrimp and the little burger. The Gouda grits & mac n cheese were excellent too. Very friendly staff and very clean dining area!

Updated to add: I left this review after dinner time. Within an hour one of the restaurant partners contacted me and offered what I call “Disney-level” customer service. He sent a DoorDash gift card so I could have a nice dinner even if it wasn’t at his restaurant. I was floored. I had a very pleasant interaction with him and will definitely visit the restaurant in person the next time I am in town. Everyone can falter but not everyone will apologize and fix it.
By far the worst dinner decision I have made in many years. I am a business traveler and was excited for this restaurant when I got to town today. Unfortunately, the food was flavorless, if you don’t count the spoiled chili sauce and god awful sugary sweet lemon curd served with the mealy dry round “og pups”. The fish was so thin it looked like it had been pounded paper thin. The crab Rangoon tasted like someone waved a can of crab over a cream cheese spring roll and was served with the sour (spoiled) chili sauce. It was the perfect meal for my diet because absolutely nothing was edible. The entire $65 meal went in the trash can (outside). I called to let them know prior to posting this review. Emma listened and offered a gift card. I appreciate the offer, but after tasting sour food from a seafood place once, I’m not willing to risk it again.

Really cool vibe – staff is easygoing and helpful. I tried the crab and shrimp roll with beer pups. My husband had the crab and grilled cheese with mac and cheese. I really liked the honey butter with the beer pups the best! Good amount of shrimp in my roll – it was tasty. Think I’ll try a basket or a platter next time.

Close to good, but not quite. Soda machine had almost no syrup to the carbonation, so nothing tasted right. I would have dumped it and gotten tea, but…also out of ice. Husband found a hair in his tacos. Flounder was very greasy. I did like the hushpuppies, though.

Absolutely the best crab boil ever! The loaded seafood fries, the best!! The staff are so friendly and I love how they touch tables and speak to everyone. We came back within a few days to eat here again. 10 out of 10 guys keep it up. Julia is awesome and friendly. Melanie, spoken highly of by her staff, was the sweetest. Thanks everyone for a wonderful experience. We’ll be back soon.
