We made it over to The Gateway for dinner on Tuesday night. This was our first time going and it did not disappoint. We both had burgers which were great and I’m a huge fan of their fries (extra crispy). I had the NE clam chowder and my husband had the buffalo wings. Both were great! I was even happier to see they have Lamarca prosecco! I can’t wait to go back!

French onion and new England clam chowder were very solid. Decent sized wings. Prices were outrageous, even for a shore joint in my opinion. I’ll leave it for the tourist in the summer.

The best New England chowder I’ve ever had, and we go to Cape Cod every year! Great drinks with a great beer selection!

Perfect place to grab a bite and a drink on your way in or off the island. Large bar area and plenty of tables to eat or drink at. Large projection screen and TV’S at all angles to watch the games and news. They even have a stage for live music every night. They even have a large private dinning area for parties or to eat without all the TVs and live music going on.
Also, if you feel like continuing the libations they have a fully stocked package store.
The owner even said, Hello and asked how everything was. An told us they will be adding Taco Tuesday to the schedule.

The Manhattan Clam Chowder blows the Grand Central Oyster Bar out of the water!!! David Sodano sings Sinatra better than Frank himself!

I ordered steamed muscles to go and it seemed like made were made from frozen. I got them in a white garlic sauce. No lie, the oil tasted rancid and the muscles had a weird flavor to them. Not even squeezing lemon on them made them palatable. I don’t know about the rest of the food, but don’t order the steamed muscles. The ambiance was a bar ambiance. The waiter who took my order was very nice.
