The food while ok again it is not amazing or making yern for more. I didn’t hate coming here but we will not be returning.
What stood out the most was how accommodating they were. They immediately started walking us through the gluten free menu and made us feel completely comfortable about ordering. I am so excited to finally have a restaurant in Spokane that offers such an extensive gluten free menu. I know there are other options around town, but it’s wonderful to see more places making this a priority.
The food was fantastic, the service was thoughtful, and even during a packed Restaurant Week evening, we felt taken care of. We will absolutely be back.
I was so impressed with my prior visit that I chose to get a gift card here when my employer asked me to pick a spot for a gift card.
I was stoked to bring 2 of my adult daughters here for dinner to have a ladies’ night before my youngest goes in to have her baby tomorrow.
I have to say that, while the food was still decent, and the Huckleberry Margherita packed a punch, the service was lacking. I realize this is a newer spot and give mad respect for a couple trying to make a go in a tough industry. They are still above par, especially for the price bracket. I just hope they can keep the pace and quality as I see them hitting a stellar 4.9 rating.
It wasn’t super packed when we got there at 4 pm, and picked up as the night moved on. I’ve also worked in the service industry, so I understand the idea that a place might not expect a crowd on a Sunday evening and there were some larger groups.
I see the need to check in, not make us ask twice for dessert that isn’t made to order and to check back when you dropped off the bill. The lack of eye contact as she came through to check on other tables made it difficult to ask a question.
This info is given respectfully because I appreciate a spot that gives us time to relax at dinner!!
The “you’re my Huckleberry” burger was fabulous and the fries were plentiful. The mom’s lasagna was also decent and garlic bread on point. Salad is a nice selection of crispy veggies and the butter parmesan pasta was good, but a tad dry. She added some ranch and it made an improvement (asked for more sauce, but were cautioned that chef would need to prepare a side since it’s made fresh)
The desserts are rich and plentiful for the price. We shared the flourless chocolate cake and banana cheesecake
Total for 3 meals, 1 Margherita and 2 desserts was $85. VERY reasonable
I’m leaving the 5-star review and look forward to another visit.
I have little doubt that they’ll continue to own the competition and be around for a long time!!
Prior review as of 9/7/25:
I picked up my take-out food. The atmosphere is decent with booths and seats at the bar. Clean!
Service was friendly when I called in my order. They’ll make 1/3 pound burger instead of 1/2 pound and take $2 off.
Ordered blackened salmon with asparagus and risotto and a classic burger with fries.
The burger was BOMB!! Well-seasoned patty and plenty of toppings. Loved the hand-cut fries and would’ve added $2 back on to have more, lol. Serving was small in my opinion. They gave a well portioned side of tartar and it was tasty.
Salmon was good and the risotto was delicious. They paired well together. Asparagus was the big fat spears, and decent as well.
Pricing is competitive. I look forward to dining in soon with friends!!
Limited parking but I saw the hint about parking in back and coming through the back door. My only other suggestion would be more comfortable seating. It got pretty hard on my older bones.
Good service, cheerful, family atmosphere. I’ll be back!
