I have been going here since 2009. It’s very unique and good quality food. Things have changed since Covid. Things have gotten pricier and you are nickel and dime for changes. However, the quality is still good and it’s unique. The reality is everything has gone up. I believe they are trying to keep it as reasonable as possible. They do have daily specials that I suggest checking out. I do miss the salsa bar, but still love the good service. I hope to continue to go here years to come. Thank you for being a staple in Asheville, North Carolina!

Sooo good!! Fresh and yummy. Great queso and chips. They are happy to adjust what you order however you like it.

I decided to try Neo Burrito for the first time today and it’s soooooo good! I got the jerk burrito and it’s such a perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and savory. I’d never had pineapple salsa before but that set it off for me Love the taste, love that they’re so environmentally conscious, and I definitely plan to visit again soon!

I used to love this place and stopped going when COVID hit. I remember trying it once since then and deciding it wasn’t my jam, but it had been a couple of years and I thought I’d try again since it’s so close to where I live. But I remember now why I don’t go there anymore!

First of all, I want to acknowledge that this has no negativity intended for the young man who started my order. He seemed to be new and in training and my heart went out to him for the way he was being treated.

I’d ordered the half nachos after specifically asking the difference in portion size between half and full. While the young man helping me was in the process of adding the queso to my nachos, the woman he was working with snapped at him and told him not to give me any more. He’d given me 1/2 scoop and was going back for another 1/2 because the queso was gelled up in the spoon and he was simply making sure there was a decent amount on the nachos. The woman rudely told him “ONLY ONE SCOOP!” and he replied with “yes, I know. I only did 1/2 scoop and was going back for another 1/2”. She then took over and turned to me and said “if you want another 1/2 scoop, it’s $1 more. You only get one scoop.” (She was NOT hearing it that he had only done half of that). I went ahead and paid it because the amount of queso presently on the nachos was laughable and in no way would service even half the chips.

The family in front of us also returned extra tortillas after she charged them for them as they didn’t know they were being charged for them until they got to the register. They DEFINITELY give the vibe that they are all about the money. Charging for every tiny thing, after being told by the other employee that it was fine. Maybe he needs more training, but having worked in food, you never make the customer pay for kitchen mistakes.

They also do not take cash payments anymore because “cash often contains traces of cocaine”…but they do have a cash drop to put cash in to pay…it’s weird. And it should also be noted that there was not a (visible) way to receive change after putting money in.

Once we paid and left, we were also just not impressed with the food. The chips were VERY stale. Like the kind of stale that doesn’t break when you take a bite (with or without toppings). My husband’s burrito was also lackluster, but he did say the only saving grace was the chipotle sauce.

The experience just left me feeling like a transaction and not a customer and the food is simply not worth the price. Not to mention, I genuinely felt SO bad for the young man trying to do his job and getting scolded left and right, in front of customers. Not professional. I’ll either go to Moe’s next time or choose a different restaurant altogether.

Wow! I’ve found it! I know you’re thinking I’m going to say something nirvana – and you’d be close, coz it practically is – but really I’ve found my new goto place for tacos and burritos. They were fantastic (I got tacos this time) and the ingredients were much fresher and more flavorful than what you’d find at some place like Chipotle. Today I got a Cuban taco with slow roasted pork and a delicious fish taco with the fantastic Baja sauce (see pic!). Won’t stop coming back until I’ve tried everything! See ya soon, Neo!

Great food, not so great service. Also, if you try to sub out an item (in my case, jalapeños for beets) they will charge you extra. Also, you cannot use coupons on foods marked as special. Which isn’t a big deal, except you don’t find that out until you get to the register. Friendliness is pretty poor too.

Neo used to be great. I foresee this one will go the way of the others. They are not very loyal to their loyal customers.

First time coming and found they nickel and dime you a bunch here. Somehow a burrito and a bowl with two drinks and chips came out to $40. Burrito wasn’t bad, but not worth the price and lack of transparency on pricing. The receipt didn’t send so not even sure what we were charged for but a bunch of one dollar two dollars here and there for a squirt of dressing. Very dark inside as well and the salsa bar was empty.

We just got delivery and the food was amazing! The Jerk Chicken burrito was SO GOOD! The steak in our burrito and quesadilla was so flavorful and tender. The food was fresh and the salsas were delicious. Very happy with our meals, if we had found this place on day one of our visit, we likely wouldn’t have bothered eating anywhere else.

This place has THE BEST spicy chicken quesadillas anywhere, truly. I am a big eater of chicken, and of quesadillas, and in my years of coming here I’ve never had a bad one, and almost always get an incredible one. Their prices are fairly high, and I don’t know their whole menu, but I could have one every day here and never tire of it. If you enjoy a good spicy chicken quesadilla, you’ve found a new favorite spot.

This place was the best, but after the last two visits we will not return. The quality of food just isn’t the same anymore! Bring back better ingredients instead of brown iceberg lettuce! Also, the amount of food you give is just not acceptable for the price!
