The restaurant at Barefoot Cay Resort is fantastic. We stayed at the hotel, so we had dinner here several times – and every time the food was absolutely delicious. The menu is diverse, with seafood, meat, and plenty of vegetarian options. Beautiful presentation and excellent service. Considering the restaurant is on Roatan Island, it’s impressive how fresh the ingredients are and that everything on the menu is always available. Prices are about what you’d expect in the U.S., but totally worth it.

The atmosphere is perfect.
You take a tiny ferry over to a wee island where the restaurant is surrounded by greenery and spots of ocean. The style is modern contemporary.
The service is terrific, with each staff member dropping by our table to ask/ensure that we were having a good experience. Our specific server, Edna is warm, responsive and accommodating.
The food was overall good. The tuna tartar lived in sort of dark sauce that, together, was delish. My wife enjoyed her dill snapper. My iron noodle dish was very good, and while it travelled with 2 (yes, 2) lobster tails. It was a little salty for my taste. Now, that’s not so much an error – more of my failure to tell the chef no salt as I prefer.

this was a 10/10 experience from start to finish – the little boat ride to get to the restaurant, the beautiful decor, amazing food all around, some of the best cocktails we’ve had. such a memorable cap to our trip in Roatan! would come here again, highly recommend.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews. The food and cocktails are amazing. We go to Roatan every year and eat there for one dinner and lunch before the airport. It is easy to get to and the food is superior to a lot of other restaurants I have been to on the island. Highly recommend

A very classy and great quality restaurant. The food and ambience were so amazing and our waitress, Edna, was so friendly and professional. The portions were on the small side, but the quality was very good.
For added “cool factor” the restaurant is on a tiny island and there’s a boat to ferry customers across the small channel.
