From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. The staff was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming — it felt like they truly cared about our experience.

Now, the food — absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was a perfect blend of flavor, texture, and presentation. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully sourced. Whether it was the perfectly cooked entrée, the creative appetizers, or the decadent dessert, everything exceeded expectations.

What really stood out was the attention to detail — from the plating to the timing of each course. The drink selection was also excellent, with an inventive lemonade and coffee.

This is the kind of place you recommend to friends without hesitation and look forward to returning to again and again. A truly memorable dining experience — 10/10!

Absolutely loved my experience at Layali Halab! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality. The lentil soup, lamb chops , mixed grill, & chicken kafta were all outstanding. fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully prepared. This is a family run restaurant that truly cares about quality. Great value, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. Highly recommend!

We found the restaurant through a Google Maps recommendation. The young waiter was very kind and polite. The menu is very complete, the prices are excellent, and the portions are quite satisfying. We loved our choices! Everything was very well seasoned and flavorful. It made us want to go back and try everything, which we will certainly do! I will recommend it always.

Acquaint Little Mediterranean restaurant north of Olive near all of Lindbergh.

Really friendly and helpful server.

The baba ghanoush was good and the pita bread was warm and fresh.

Stuffed grape leaves were interesting very good but very different than the Greek style. For one thing I think they were vegetarian with no beef in them.

Had an entrée with chicken skewers. They take the meat off the skewer to serve it on the plate. The only thing I could find fault with the whole meal was the chicken was overcooked. Might wanna mention this if you order chicken dish.

The pickled vegetables were good and the rice was cooked perfectly.

I had the Shish Tawook Sandwich with fries. Everything was delicious. Some places cut corners on the fries with this type of meal but not here. Fresh tasting and not greasy.

We stopped by Layali Halab Mediterranean on an early Friday evening. It’s tucked into a small, humble strip mall with plenty of parking – easy to find and easy to get to. We were the first ones in the restaurant, which gave us a chance to take in the space. The décor reminded me of a 90s-style Middle Eastern wedding hall. Maybe not my style, but there was a nostalgic charm to it that I actually enjoyed.

This is a family-run restaurant, and the son was our server, a kind and respectful young man.

We started with the za’atar manaeesh, a baked flatbread topped with za’atar and olive oil. The flavor was nice, but it was cooked a bit longer than I prefer, making it more cracker-like. We had asked if it came with traditional sides like tomatoes or mint and were told it came with cucumber. To our surprise, that meant two slices which felt a little skimpy and underwhelming.

I ordered the chicken shish tawook, which came with rice, grilled vegetables, salad, Middle Eastern pickles, and garlic sauce. The chicken was nicely seasoned but a bit dry in spots. The grilled veggies were good, I just wish there were more of them. The rice was flavorful but had more of a packaged rice texture (like Uncle Ben’s) than the kind you’d expect in a traditional Middle Eastern kitchen. The garlic sauce was tasty, but the portion was very small, especially since it helped balance the dryness of the chicken and rice.

My dining partner had the Falafel Arabi sandwich, which was probably the most unique part of the meal. It was basically a deconstructed falafel wrap: thin pita with crushed falafel, a bit of tomato and lettuce, hummus, and tahini served on the side. The flavors were good, but the structure made it awkward to eat and not what you’d expect if you’re familiar with how falafel sandwiches are usually served across the Middle East. Nice idea, just not the most successful execution.

The homemade kanafeh though was the highlight of the meal. Made by the mother, it was rich, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. If the rest of the meal had matched the quality of the kanafeh, I would’ve easily given five stars.

The menu has a good variety, and despite a few misses, I’d definitely return to try other dishes. There’s clearly a lot of heart behind this place, and with a few tweaks, I think it could be a real gem. Just maybe skip the Falafel Arabi and go straight for the kanafeh

Visited this Mediterranean restaurant recently and really enjoyed the food. The flavors were great, and the portion sizes were generous — definitely worth the price. I left full and satisfied!

I was amazed by Layali Halab! I’ve eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants and none have tasted as fresh and delicious as this. The portions are huge and the quality of the food is undeniable. I tried the sampler appetizer, the chicken shawarma, and the pistachio baklava, and everything was outstanding. The server was very friendly and the food came quickly. The interior is lovely with tablecloths and comfortable seating. The wall art is beautiful and I enjoyed the music. Most surprising was how cheap it all was! I will definitely be back!

We were served complimentary lentil soup after we placed our order. The lentil soup was delicious. We shared the Grilled Lamb Kabobs. The meat was mostly tender and flavorful. The kabobs were served on pita along with a small house salad. The salad was very fresh. We tried the rice drink and it was okay. We received excellent service from our waiter. We loved the plush comfortable chairs at every table. We enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. There’s plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.
