Really great take on an Italian! Super fresh, not over dressed and dripping, awesome flavors. And a nice little kick! The bread was flavorful and super moist. Beware if the Eagles are playing, they sell out fast. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great sandwich! Will be back for their great service.

Not what we expected. I think some of the good reviews here are from his friends. Those cheesesteak are nothing close to what you get from Philly. Did not see onions or peppers and it was overdone with spices and salt. Overpriced for what you get. There are two tables with four chairs outside. There is a dirty sofa inside that is so dirty that you need to wash your cloth when you get home if you sit on it. Definitely won’t be back.

Phenomenal sandwiches here. The main man Philly is a character! He makes his own bread and pickles. Best pickles I ever had. Best veggie sandwich I’ve ever had. I think they’re more known for their meats but he was willing to make a veggie sandwich and even changed his gloves for me. Really nice guy! Really great sandwiches! Got the Italian hoagie at Yous Guys Sandwich Shop, and seems to be by far the best in the area. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, loaded with quality meats and cheese, crisp toppings, and perfect seasoning. It lived up to the hype, and service was great! Definitely coming back!

I didn’t know it was possible to FALL IN LOVE with a sandwich… until today.
This was an 11/10, life-changing kind of sandwich. Every bite was perfection — perfectly dressed, insanely fresh produce, a little kick of heat that took it to the next level. I meant for it to be a light lunch… but I literally couldn’t put it down — ended up devouring the whole thing. No regrets.
And the guy who made it? Total legend. You could feel how much he loves what he does — this wasn’t just lunch, it was an experience. When he handed me my sandwich, he smiled and said, “You’ll be back.”

Stopped in at this sandwich shop for the first time today. Spoke to the owner and had a good conversation while he made some Italians for me. The sandwich was so good it felt like i was inhaling it. It’s a hole in the wall that is putting out better food than you’ll find elsewhere. Perfect take out spot. Would recommend to anyone. Hope this place stays open for years to come so that I can keep enjoying these awesome hoagies!

Love this place! I stopped in to grab dinner on my way home from work and finally decided to try it instead of my occasional Chick-fil-A, which I joked about with the owner. I’m so glad I did because the food was fantastic.
If you’re from up north, you’ll feel right at home here. I’ve lived in Charleston for 15 years and haven’t found a place quite like this until now. I told Don to pick three of the most popular subs; he picked two, I picked one, and every single one was amazing. I even grabbed some PA chips and sodas for a little taste of home.
Don’s got that true Philly personality, direct, funny, and full of pride in what he serves. Some people might mistake that for rudeness, but that’s just the endearing northern way. I would’ve paid the same price at Chick-fil-A and instead got some truly authentic, made-with-love food. Whether you’re from up north or born and raised in the South, if you appreciate real flavor, you’ll love this place. I’ll definitely be back!

If you get it, you get it. If you don’t just go somewhere else because this is absolutely delectable. I’ve read some other reviews about the owner being rude or whatever but I had a great experience and let me know if you find another Italian sandwich shop owner from Philly that isn’t a bit coarse. I got the Italian and I licked the packaging after. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. 10/10 new fav spot

Excellent sandwich shop! A cut above the rest, their food is thoughtfully sourced and prepared… A fellow business owner, I enjoyed the owner’s flair as well and understand it all! If I can make it in more, I will :). The entrance is tricky, but James Island is compact! Definitely worth your effort to patronize!
