Love the throw back theme of 40’s and 50’s. Food was very filling and great tasting. Our waitress was awesome. Very nice place to sit at the counter on stools like old times. This is one of the best highway 55 I have been to. The employees were friendly. The kitchen works hard to make sure that you don’t wait long for hot meals. Loved my visit here.

The chili cheese fries that I ordered were in a container with paper under them.. The paper stuck to the fries and was hard to get off. I’m not sure how but the chili was also ice cold. My husbands sandwich wasn’t wrapped correctly and leaked in the bag and he said the bread was so soggy it was wet. We live less than 5 minutes away and have never had these problems but I’m not sure what the problem was tonight.

This is my third time visiting this restaurant, and my notice of the excellent service is not a fluke. It’s consistent, and it serves as one of the reasons I keep coming back, in addition to the great food. All of my experience has been with takeout, but I have no doubt that the dining-in experience would be the same. I’ve become a regular!

Wife and I were passing through the area and stopped with no expectations however we were pleasantly surprised. The interior is charming and fun to sit in since you don’t find restaurants with a 1950s diner decor too often anymore. The staff as incredibly friendly and a joy to be served by. The food was great and the lemonade and orangeade are made with fresh squeezed fruits. Truly a wonderful establishment and the wife and I would definitely eat here again.

My family and I stopped by last night in the middle of a road trip to grab dinner. My wife has dairy restrictions due to our newborn having an extreme dairy sensitivity, which I explained to the young lady. She made sure to immediately walk to the back and explain to the cook the importance of no cheese/butter on or anywhere near the one order. This means SO MUCH to us, as we have had many long nights with a thrashing newborn. All of the team members were polite, attentive to my needs, and the food was DELICIOUS. Also I order a pretty big order to go and was out the door in maybe 5-6 minutes. 10/10 Grifton Highway 55. You guys are awesome and we will be back when in the area.

Best location I’ve been to, and thank goodness, ’cause I had to go out of my way when the one closer to us didn’t show up on the list on the online ordering page.
The ladies here took great care of me when I came in to order drinks I’d forgotten onto add to my online order, and our food was ready pretty quickly. The restaurant was super cute and clean inside!
Despite the longer trip back to our airbnb (and a stop in between), our food was still warm when we got back – but most of all, it was made well and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed everything and wish we could come back, but we live in another state. Thank you, Hwy 55 Grifton – we appreciate you!

Food came out quick. Hostess was pretty and nice. One of the best burgers around. Can’t nobody touch the lemonade or orange aid they make !!!! My girl ate her combo before we got home. We only stay 2 miles away. So you know the food is Good!!!

Ok so I call a order my food and didn’t get everything i ordered get home and the family doesn’t have what we ordered im upset but not going to let it ruin the begin of our weekend.I’ll just go somewhere better from now on.
