Owners Alvaro and Rosa Rodriguez inspiration for La Costa Azul comes from their humble beginnings as a fisherman in El Lago De Chapala, Jalisco and Rosa’s love for cooking in the kitchen for her four sons and beautiful daughter. The menu is inspired by our touch of true Jalisco Mexican Style Sea Food and is always served with Fresh Handmade Tortillas. Let me start by saying that the staff was very welcoming and friendly!! Now the FOOD…. OMG it so amazingly good!! This restaurant is a MUST go too!! We and the family really enjoyed the food!! This is a family owned restaurant, we will be going many more times!! This our new go to spot for Mexican food!! Great great job La Costa Azul!

I recommend going early or mid day! Don’t go late like I did the second time. Went there before they closed and this place wasn’t the same unfortunately…
New to this area, I’ve been to this place twice, the seafood plate and shrimp tacos was fire- I went hr after it opened on a Sunday.
Then I went again few weeks later, It was about 45 mins before they closed and let me tell you, 40 seafood the plate was skimpy and just not the same as the first time we went, my wife’s pineapple drink tasted like water and pineapple pulp. The young lady working the counter coulda have been a little nicer, maybe it was to close to quitting time. Other than that this place was extremely clean, seems like this place would be really nice to have a dinner at, seeing how clean it was. I’m not sure if it was just quitting time and they was all tired. But I wish them the best, I think I would try them one more time to make sure it was it was just a one time deal.

The dish I had was very very tasty! It was called Cielo Mar y Tierra. It consisted of chicken, beef and shrimp. It came with rice and refried beans. To wash it down I just had to get a michelada. Their michelada’s are award winning by the way. The service was top notch. We were greeted with a big smile and cheerful attitude. Our server’s checked on us frequently but not too much. This is a place I would be happy to go back to, to enjoy a meal.

Customer service was excellent this place was recommended We will return! Home made tortillas and everything was fresh!!!! I love the Piña agua and my sisters plate Berrian tacos were excellent! Luis helped us with our order. I was certainly torn between a few items but he recommended the Botana de Cameron based on their signature Michelada sauce (they sale it there) and that I didn’t want rice that they use chicken broth in; he ordered the Pollo de Jalapeño.
It did take a while for our order to be complete as it is a super popular restaurant and the outcome explains why. During covid you may place your order at the window or through DoorDash for pickup and delivery.
The flavor? Ooooooh so yummy. If you are a vegan don’t order the Botana de Cameron because it is cooked on the grill and I did find pieces of meat. But the flavors are so explosive. The sauce itself I wished I purchased a bottle. We also ordered guacamole and chips and again absolutely delicious and there wasn’t any leftovers. A must try if you’re in Fairfield.

It’s hard to get too excited about Mexican food because there are a lot of good places in California. BUT this place is different! The spices that they are use are something special. I have only been there twice since I just found out about it, but man it has me thinking about it when I am not there! Do yourself a favor, and just TRY IT. You will find yourself writing a review like this haha.

Scrumptious Grilled Shrimp Tacos, Shredded Beef Quibirria, and Ceviche Mista appetizer. The appetizer was HUGE! Spicy salsa and great chips too while you wait.
The service was outstanding and staff makes you feel at home. They told me I’ll be back and they are right, I definitely will be. This is my new favorite Mexican spot and worth the 30 min drive.

Ricardo was so kind and on top of everything, I definitely want to go back to try their Super Chimichanga or maybe the Super Burrito again with Birria. Love the Crema on top. Great vibe and energy in this place. They surely make customers feel welcome here.

Seafood is my #1 love and they did things right at La Costa Azul, plus the service was wonderful! Still working on trying the whole menu, and so far the chefs in the back been killing it.But u can not leave without trying the Micheladas, it’s a must!
