In our continuing adventure to visit all the dive bars on Harford Road, we visited Freddie’s Sports Bar and Grill last Friday.
We sat at the end of the bar and had to wait a few minutes to order. They don’t have a beer menu, so you will have to eyeball the drafts as you come into the bar. The music was loud old-skool hip hop, which I love. There was also some great R&B.
They have two pool tables constantly occupied by players who had brought their own queues. It was fun to watch.
I ordered the chicken quesadilla, the husband ordered wings and french fries. The chicken quesadilla was delicious, served with salsa and sour cream. The wings were a little dry but the fries were great.
I was going to give Freddie’s 4 stars until I woke up the next morning and saw the 18% gratuity charged to my bill. I had not seen it and had tipped 20% so my server got a large unintended tip. I will not be coming back to Freddie’s but at least now I know how they roll.

Normally, Freddies is a cool place, but tonight (11/7) the service was HORRIBLE!!! I had 3 bartender look me straight in my face and ignore me when I tried to order. Asked for the check at 6:03 and STILL waiting for it!!! I guess because they already put the tip on your check they didn’t care! THEY WILL NEVER GET MY MONEY OUT BUSINESS AGAIN!!!! If I could give them no stars I would.

Jeanine is the worst bartender I’ve ever come across I set there and had five different conversations with her about me wanting a drink and what I wanted to drink but I had NO drinks. Not the first time this has happened and not the first time with her. She would rather stand there and tell me how busy she is verses telling me how busy she is with her mouth while moving her limbs to serve drinks. I’ve been served by her before, one night where she and I both arrived at the bar for the night at the same time after she served my drink wrong she then proceeded to stand at the bar and eat HER wings. I heard her reference how busy she was to someone else later that night to, but we listen we don’t judge. Rose is a great bartender but she is the only one who doesn’t have an attitude, but she is also the only one who really works. The other bartender Brante B per what it said on the receipt (Not Joy, Rose, or Meech) wants your card up front (first time anyone in this bar EVER asked me that) this bar charges gratuity per Tab so why would you keep checking me out per drink?! I don’t even try to speak to her anymore and she is more than fine with that because she makes it her business not to talk to me or ANY customers for that matter most of the night. I’ve been to this bar at least four times because it’s close and the food is good but between all four visits the most drinks I’ve ever gotten from them in a single night was 2 drinks and that’s the one time rose was working and able to serve me. Last night this place was packed bumper to bumper couldn’t even get in the building when I got in there I was not the only person who left because getting a drink is hard but getting verbally assaulted by “bartenders,” is served with a side of nothing. I wonder how many are really licensed bartenders, maybe someone should inquire.

You have customers loitering outside and they drink and smoke behind the billboard sign on your lot. Why armed security on weekends? We don’t need that type of “customer” in our neighborhood. Police your parking lot! Please sell tickets for your next street brawl! Thank you again for bringing all that garbage into our community. Maby you can go outside and pick up after them and not just your parking lot!! We don’t need endless bars and beauty shops on Harford Rd! And you have to check your lovely customers for weapons before they enter. Same crowd that brings guns to children’s birthday parties

I haven’t had wings from this restaurant in over a year, but previously they had good wings. I believe they did a renovation. This is also a nice chill bar as well. They have seem to step there wing game up, and a great price for a 10 piece.

Decided to try Freddie’s Sports Bar & Grill since I unexpectedly had a free night. The vibe is cool and the drinks are strongeth lol (I got a Long Island). There were probably about 30 people in there.
Nice chill bar for the 25-45 year olds. It’s apparently pretty popular for a Monday night. They played mostly rnb, rap, and oldies but goodies. They serve food, have pool tables, and have a free parking lot attached. I didn’t eat while I was there but several people had food and said that it was good though the kitchen was a little slow bringing out the food.
The bartender, Heather, was wonderful, kind, and attentive even on a busy night.

The bar is a fantastic place to be when it comes. It’s a friend’s camaraderie, shooting pool, having a good time. There are times that I’ve been in there and not been asked if I want to drink at all if I don’t go to the bar but that is because they usually ended up understaffed, still a great place to be. Go shoot pool, watch a ball game. It’s an enjoyable place
