We welcome another Indian restaurant in Brandon ! Its newly opened, and too soon to rate in my opinion, so take this review keeping that in mind.

From my visit on Inauguration day , food tasted great. I opted for vegetarian dishes. We liked the taste for sure. I’m sure the meat-dishes are also good tasting.

For an inauguration day, the seating definitely was lacking. The kitchen staff were trying their best to keep the orders flowing, but it was kind of chaotic. I hope they settled down now. I’d say this is a place for pickup/carryout, given the setup. Lastly, there were no freebies on inauguration day – something I’d expect for a ‘grand’ opening.

Besides the great tasting food, on a positive note, food here is affordable – Indian restaurants (rather, any ethnic/specialty restaurants) are notorious for pricey menus. I have to applaud Urban Eats for keeping prices affordable in this time of inflation.

We’ll come back another time to update this review, once they settle down. Lets hope they keep their food tasting great (and affordable). I rate the food a 4-star – I’d not hesitate to try it again (I rarely give out 5-stars – esp in Tampa :-/ ).

I had a very disappointing experience with this newly opened restaurant. On a Saturday evening between 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM, I called the restaurant 7–8 times and no one answered. Assuming they were extremely busy, I decided to visit in person.

When I arrived, the restaurant appeared to be open—the “Open” sign was clearly displayed on the door—but there was no staff present at all. No notice was posted explaining the situation, and their website also did not mention being closed on Saturdays.

This was a complete waste of time and very unprofessional for a new business. If the restaurant is closed or not operating during certain hours, it should be clearly communicated both online and at the location. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was very poor.
