We are honored to have been a staple of the Redwood Falls community since 1975! I, Julie Buffie, have operated this location for the last 15 years. Whether it’s providing a place to go before or after a big game, hosting the after prom party, or mentoring kids who would like to learn what it takes to work in the restaurant business—all have been a big part of what makes what we do so special. In 2018 we converted to the Café by Country Kitchen concept, which allowed us to still focus on what we were already great at, but with a fresh twist! We love to recognize diversity in our community, so we offer discounts to many of our guests including students, military, and seniors.

Stopped here for a late breakfast while traveling. I think there was one waitress for the whole place, but she was doing pretty good considering. I was disappointed though that when I ordered water to drink I only got a tiny cup rather than an actual adult size glass. The food altogether was pretty good, except for that the avocado in my omelet was FAR from ripe and was super hard (I was even having trouble poking a fork into it). So unfortunately I had to fish all of it out of my omelet and just eat the rest. I wish they would have just said they were out of avocado instead and I would have ordered something else. The French toast was very good but it was served on a plate that had giant chip on one side and a smaller chip on the opposite side (see photos). Why would you even keep a plate with that much damage in your service rotation? I wouldn’t serve a meal to a guest at my house on that, much less to a paying customer. The coffee and bathrooms also left something to be desired.

Love this place in the morning it a little busy. I travel out west for business and I love coming to the kitchen for breakfast. The coffee is hot and fresh, the food is delicious and the waitress Dana is always in a bright mood. Thanks y’all see you again next month.

Been there twice and just won’t go again. Disappointed by the food(portion sizes were terrible compared to the price of the food; could tell food was old) and how long it took each time took. Whoever was the cook my last time there could use more training and actually staying in the kitchen to put through orders. Servers however have both times done well.

The folks here were pretty busy seemed to have enough staff but for all I know everyone works 7 days a week? Service was very good I thought it took a little too long to get the food for 4 adults and a toddler?

I don’t believe I have had better hashbrowns at a sit down restaurant in my life!! Eggs Benedict were delicious too! Coffee is very good as well, over all I would send everybody here for an amazing breakfast! Server was very friendly and place is clean! Highly recommended! Also, this was my first time visiting this place!

I haven’t been here in years, the same reason I stopped going is the same reason I won’t be trying to return again probably for many years…. We were craving breakfast food and thought we’d give KC a chance. It was busy as expected on a Sunday morning but it took over an hour for our table of two to get our food order as we watched others who came in after us be served their food before us. We ordered a couple of their specialty coffees to start and got them right away, but did not get the water I had asked for and was never checked again until the food came a hour later. My partner’s french toast tasted freezer burnt, but my skillet was decent. It was clear our server was overwhelmed and frustrated with the kitchen and gave us a discount, but it was not a pleasant experience at all today unfortunately.

The food wasn’t very warm when I received it, the water I was drinking had black things floating on top and a white thing in the middle of my glass. I asked for crispy bacon and it wasn’t done to my liking. Waitress was good but that’s the only good part.

I highly recommend this place. Not only did we show up 10 minutes before closing but there were 7 of us. Without hesitation Brandon seated us and waited on us quickly and with perfect manners. He didn’t rush us and answered all of our questions to help us order better. The food tasted great and we left full and satisfied. We were beginning our long trip back to California and had had a very long first day. Thanks to Brandon and the cook(who’s name we didn’t get). Truly a proper show of hospitality from a great restaurant crew.
