ok drink prices. bartenders specifically female will treat you like trash before checking id if they think you’re underage. also didn’t realize this is a frat bar and everyone gets an x on their hand even if they’re old enough to drink, my friend wasn’t drinking and she demanded to see her ID, mind you no one is IDing at the door so it’s up to you to go the bar and then having your find your entire party to get a single drink just for yourself. their sister bar daily planet is a lot better and not ran like this.

The Sidedoor is under new ownership, and I’ve already seen some really positive changes! It’s in a great spot, and they’ve started adding food and making little updates that make a big difference. The vibe is super inviting! It’s definitely a place where anyone can feel welcome.
If you’re into beer, pool, darts, shuffleboard, and just a good time in general, this is the place to check out. Excited to see what’s coming next for The Sidedoor!

Since the recent management transition, this place has really improved! I’ve visited several times now, and Karla and Sarafina have been incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and just a joy to be around. Kudos to the new owner for making such positive changes!

Usually I do not leave reviews but this place had some potential when we walked in despite the awkward encounter the moment we walked into the bar. a girl friend and I just finished at the rage room across the street and were looking to grab a drink and quick bite so we thought we’d try Side Door. We’re not familiar with the area too much but we love dive bars. When we stepped in, there was maybe 3 or 4 older men at the bar, one greeted us “oh no there are women here make sure you don’t say anything.” We just smiled and took our seat at the end of the bar. We asked the bar tender if there was any food as she replied “i don’t know let me go check” meanwhile my friend and I looked and agreed and said it’s fine we will just have a beer and go elsewhere for food. As we took our hoodies off, it was 77 degrees or so and we were already hot from rage room, the guy that so pleasantly greeted us goes “are you ladies serious” making a comment as we’re taking our hoodies off. Immediately we’re uncomfortable. Like I said, it had potential for a beer. But unfortunately 2:00pm on a Saturday having customers make comments to make us uncomfortable was not how we wanted to finish our day. Take the extra 2 minute walk and go to Mack’s down the street.
