We’ve been dining at Sushi Zoa for quite a while now (we’ve also ordered delivery once or twice) and it’s hands down the best sushi in the area. So good in fact we always forget to take pictures of the delicious treats the chefs prepare for us!

The owner and executive chef, Mr. Jay Chung is a master of his trade and leads a fine team of chefs. He sources quality ingredients and prepares deliciously well balanced dishes that always hit the right spot. The Uni here is almost always available and always fresh and satisfying!

The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is peaceful and homely. It’s not over the top with wild lighting and loud music but gentle and calming, like having an incredible meal at a friend’s house. There’s usually news and kpop videos playing the TVs with subtitles.

Always a great time as Sushi Zoa and always look forward to returning!

This review is long overdue because I keep forgetting to write one.
Stopped by today on New Year Day. This is our GO TO sushi spot. I only eat the fried rolls so I get the Hungry Roll and Dirty Six. We also get the saka crunchy roll and this place never disappoints.
The service is always great. The prices are better than other places and the presentation is great.
Highly recommend this place.

Sushi Zoa delivers on freshness, speed, the price and friendly service. The staff is genuinely nice and the service is impressively quick — perfect for a lunch break or an easy dinner out. The menu has great variety with some creative rolls and good options for everyone.

The space itself is very clean (which I appreciate for sushi!), but the atmosphere could use a bit more warmth. The white hard benches make it feel more sterile than cozy — not exactly a spot you’d want to linger for hours.

Overall, if you’re looking for tasty affordable sushi, fast service, and a tidy spot, Sushi Zoa checks the boxes. Just don’t expect a super cozy vibe — come for the food, not the ambiance.

Their Spicy is actually spicy, which I loved. Food tastes good! Their rolls are really filling compared with other sushi places, solid pieces.
Their store front is odd, but this is not up to them, I think, maybe a bench and some umbrella, fake plants would look good, just an idea crossed my mind when being there. Don’t let fool you, it’s nice inside.

We ordered Chirashi Don, Zoa roll, & O-toro Sashimi topped with caviar and extra pieces given by the chef! We’ve been to this restaurant several times, and the fish is always fresh and delicious. You can tell they care about quality and details. The dishes are tasty and the presentation is thoughtful without being overdone. The staff is friendly and very attentive with requests. Highly recommend!

Went here during the dinner rush with our kids and had a great experience. We were seated promptly and quickly got our appetizers. Staff was friendly and helpful with our kids. Starters were great. They have a large variety of rolls that we enjoyed. As of this visit, our favorites were the Lion King (kids loved), and the Sake Crunch. Also tried the Vegetarian and Mango Tango with Tuna. We will definitely be back.

If you’re looking for an exceptional culinary experience, this place is a must-visit. Every dish we had was a masterpiece—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef’s years of experience and exceptional skill truly shine through in each bite.

The premium cuts of Wagyu beef, prepared for Japanese-style grilling, were richly marbled and perfectly seasoned. The sushi selection, including melt-in-your-mouth toro and delicately balanced white fish, was equally outstanding. The grilled eel nigiri was savory, tender, and finished with just the right amount of sauce and garnish.

We were so impressed that we’ve even ordered catering from here for our home parties—every guest was amazed. Whether you’re craving authentic sushi or a high-quality Japanese dining experience with Korean influences, this place is simply unbeatable in the area.

Highly recommended for both special occasions and unforgettable everyday meals!

WOW!!! I love sushi, I am very picky about sushi as one should be. But when I say this has been tge best sushi I have ever had I am not doing them enough justice. Words escape me & I’m normally a very descriptive guy. Definitely saving this spot as not only the top Sushi I have ever had but in my 43 years it is fighting for the top meal I have ever had. Incredible service, amazingly calm atmosphere & the food is on a whole different level!

I started with shrimp gyoza, (they make them with your choice of beef, chicken or shrimp) these were perfectly crispy gyoza & golden brown with a flaky crunch that satisfied the audiophile seeking that satisfactory crunch!

For an Entre I had the lobster roll & the Sake roll. The presentation was so unique & the quality is evident. This location definitely cares about providing the highest quality ingredients while still delivering it all at very affordable prices. (For sushi)

I will definitely plan to make trips here even if I have nothing else to do. This place is a destination of its own. Get here as fast as you can because the experience is one of a kind!

I recently visited Sushi Zoa and I am blown away by the quality and freshness of the fish!

The sushi chefs were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making for a pleasant dining experience. I must say, this is one of the best sushi places I’ve ever been to locally. The food was simply amazing! I am looking forward to my next visit and would highly recommend anyone who loves sushi to give this place a try.

It’s definitely a game-changer for the city’s dining scene!

Fantastic tasting food, we’ve gone for both lunch and dinner. The menu has details* and pictures, which I like!

We have had the dirty 6 roll, mango tango, spicy edamame, house sake, the Fuji apple sake, udon noodles with chicken and pecorino Mac and cheese. It has a nice environment, sitting at the bar was nice to see the chefs make the rolls.

* There were two rolls that were ordered that did not list all ingredients (mango tango has cucumber and dirty six had avocado I believe). Other rolls list these types of ingredients so was unsure why these didn’t have everything on the menu. Portions were also pretty small (except the sake ha!) so gave 4/5 stars.

It’s a great place overall for date night in the north Austin suburb area and we will likely go again soon.
