The stinky tofu is super authentic!!! Encourage everyone to try it. It’s fermented tofu with marinated veggies!
The noodle is super tasty too. Love it!!

Absolutely not worth the money. I paid $24 and got 3 tiny pieces of beef, a random bunch of vegetables, and uncooked instant noodles. For that price, I expected a real meal — not something I basically had to assemble myself. Portion size was disappointing and definitely not what you’d expect for the cost. Won’t be coming back.

Mono Cafe is located inside the 99 Ranch supermarket. The food can be improved. The atmosphere was fine for a food court.

We had the popcorn chicken, stinky tofu, and the hotpot. The chicken and tofu were okay, but the taste could be improved. They didn’t have instant noodles for the hotpot, so the staff gave us a tea instead.

Overall, the food was nothing special from other similar restaurants and the price was not cheap for a food court stand.

It was really delicious, with an authentic Taiwanese flavor. The only downside was the small portion—we finished everything quickly. Lol

The beef noodle soup was a bit salty for us, but still more acceptable than most American food. After adding some warm water, it tasted amazing. The braised pork chop bento was incredibly tasty. We’ve already had dinner here three times and will definitely come back! It would be perfect if they provided utensils for dine-in and slightly larger portions.

⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely Terrible Experience

I had one of the worst dining experiences at Momo Cafe, and I will never return.

I ordered the Hot Pot noodle soup, and it was disgusting. It looked nothing like the picture advertised. What I received was sloppy, unappetizing, and borderline inedible. Completely misleading and a total disappointment.

What made this experience even worse was the horrendous customer service. When I asked for an exchange or a refund due to the poor quality of the food, I was flat-out refused. No accountability, no professionalism, and no concern for the customer at all. Just rude and dismissive behavior.

I strongly advise no one to eat here. This place does not stand behind its food or its customers. They have officially lost my business, and honestly, 99 Ranch should seriously reconsider allowing them to operate in their store.

Save your money and eat literally anywhere else.

The taiwanese popcorn chicken is the best! Juicy and fresh, highly recommend! The staff members are really friendly. I don’t really like the sauce of their braised meat rice.

This review is only for the popcorn chicken. This is my absolute favorite dish and I have not found a place in VA that does it good. I have finally found a place worth visiting and saving a trip to Rockville. Hands down best Taiwan popcorn chicken this side of the Potomac. I will come back to try the rest of the menu.

Don’t order iron pan noodles because they were not served with iron pan. We ordered pork chop noodle ($17.25) and steak noodles($25) iron pan series dine in and they were served in plastic containers. The noodles were cold. I was very disappointed. We also ordered popcorn chicken ($9) and braised pork rice($8). The portions are small for the price. The service was excellent but l probably will not return.

The stinky tofu was slim and really hard to chew. It wasn’t juicy. The spicy chicken sandwich was 1) not spicy 2)dry and burnt and 3) no sauce/taste or flavor. I wasn’t sure what I was eating…

I used to have once of their bento during a festival, it tastes way more better than this location. The portion is small and the wait is too long, we waited for an hour more during dinner time and not worth it.
