Great little spot on the corner in Rochester Indiana. Britany was my server, I hope I spelled it right! Homemade Blue Cheese dressing on my salad was very light and subtle, unique for blue cheese dressing… fantastic! Steak cooked from oder was tender and delicious. Ordered desert to go so no pictures of that, chocolate tier cake!!! Hope it makes it home and not a mess in the car. Highly recommend and will be back. Quick trip off of US-31

Being honest it has been awhile since I been here. It has changed its menu and took away some of what I enjoyed. I’m not knocking the place for this reason. My wife enjoyed her meal. I on the other hand was not a fan of the sandwich. The corn beef was over cooked, hard to eat. The building was cold and to make it worse the fans were on.
With that said, the salad was refreshing and the staff was stellar.

05/04/24 I had the Mini American breakfast. It was very tasty. It was prepared exactly as I requested.
The server; Heather was pleasant. She made breakfast enjoyable. She checked on me several times to see if I needed anything else.

Has two of the featured items and they were delicious. The chocolate cake is amazing and highly recommend!!!!! 7 layers of heaven. It took me 2 days ri finish it but every bite was amazing. The staff was great. I believe our server’s name was Carrie-a. She was training someone while hosting and serving and didn’t miss a beat. The atmosphere is laid back and I would go back if I’m in the area again.

My husband and I are traveling 1200 miles by bicycle and stopped here for lunch. We love everything about this place starting with the food. We enjoyed delicious salads with very fresh vegetables. The atmosphere was fun and the service was great. We enjoyed meeting the lovely owner and appreciate the staff helping us find a place to park our bikes. Hope to be back someday. Highly recommend.

Evergreen is a great place in Rochester to get a wonderful meal, their selection is lovely and taste delicious. I’ve been going several years and have always been satisfied culinary wise.
I’m leaving a 4 star review because more recently I feel that the ownership has become very biased towards guests. They particularly act as if they do not want to seat children. Often stating they do not have a table available if there are children in the party. On two occasions there there were more than 4-5 visible tables open. Both times staff has been extremely short and unaccommodating. Whenever I arrive with adults, no problem getting a table.
I understand this is a “fine” dining experience but if children are behaving appropriately and not disturbing your guests, I don’t see why they are being excluded from the experience of dining here.
